Reason to play Bounty Hunter: You want to be ready for any fight thrown at you, since you hunt bounties. (once they're fixed)

Reason to play Pistoleer: You want to specialize in a weapon that lets you do damage at closer ranges on the front line.

Reason to play Commando: You're trying to find the most damaging class combo in the game. (Once they're fixed.)

To all you people that are griping between the pistoleer/BH sides, why did you pick the class that you did? Honestly, if you're just trying to find the most damaging class/combo possible with the least side effects and highest chance at beating your enemy, you're SOL. The devs made an attempt at giving the game a sense of balance. You excel at a particular field, and you supplement eachother to create a fighting force. You don't become the best individual weapon of mass destruction in the system. Otherwise you'd just have a server full of cookie-cutter character templates. With the design of the game (after everyone's patient enough for fixes to gaping differences) the only way you can have a decided advantage over any other class is if you pit an entertainer artisan against a strictly combat character.

Stop the quest for "uber", they tried to get rid of that. Or at least rename it "jedi" and have fun trying to unlock your FS.

Heh, listen to the guy who said the stuff about your skills capping off. Pistols are already pretty accurate and fast anyway, so picking up BH pistol line and master pistoleer is overkill. (BTW, you people doing it anyway, make sure you ask a weaponsmith to not worry about speed at all and just poor all points into damage...retarded to ask for a fast weapon when your skills will max out the speed anyway).

BH wasn't meant to be just an addon profession to make you uber...CH was . Your skillmods cap at a certain point, so adding more onto it doesn't do anything. Pick something else. Or at least pick something more sensible like the Carbine line and the Carbineer tree, so you can make the slowest yet powerful carbine be changed around with your skillmods to be as fast as a pistol (wonder if that's possible...would like to try ).

Anyway, as I said, BH wasn't meant to be an addon to make you more "uber," BH was meant for the BOUNTY HUNTERS.

Also, any other BH's in this thread....use your smarts, iono about you but I rarely lose duels. Maybe the imps on my server just plainly suck (probably so). Besides, who knows, those attacks in the master box may come out to be true killers.

Yea I'm second guessing being BH and pistoleer as well. I LOVE torso shot since body shot 3 is the same as body shot 2 but I have exactly 13 points left over after having master pistoleer and bounty hunter pistol 4. That isnt even enough for novice medic.

If bodyshot 3 worked then I wouldnt mind dropping bounty hunter pistol 4 and getting novice medic and buying b packs from friends. Until they fix body shot 3 I will continue to use torso shot.

I do think going BH is useful beacuse the scouting skills are nice, trapping comes in handy, mask scent can save you in harsh conditions not to mention terrain negotiation, and good tents have nice wound healing if you are in never never land with no hospitals nearby and have to afk. When you come back from a improved camp kit you have quite a bit if wounds healed. Also getting master marksman gives added bonuses as well. ForBH you get another bleed shot, a few speed / accuracy that may boost you up to the cap, plus eye shot makes ranged opponents more likely to miss which is a huge asset to pistoleers.

What I'm probably going to do is drop BH pistol 4 when body shot 3 is fixed so i can get novice medic and buy stim pack b's so i can heal me or my faction pets during downtime.

thats exactly how i have done it -master pistoleer with BH3 and medic(for stim b's). and hopefully down the road i will get my hands on a few + medicine use tapes for higher stims.

and about pistols and speed, with this line up, i wnat damage on my pistols, i could care less what the speed of the pistol is, as long as its 2.5 or lower, with my skills im shooting at 1.0. if i buy a weapon and it gets speed sliced i either sell it at half price or just give it away. it amazes me how so many prefer a sliced 1.2 speed weapon over a 2.0speed with more damage.

and how is bodyshot3 suppose to work? right now its just crap, but is it suppose ot do some kind of fire damage liek torso shot?
