As it sits, honestly, I suggest doing both. Master up in the pistoleer tree, Master pistoleer. Then get the 4 bars of pistol from BH and that will make you the best with a pistol in the game, or at least that is what I have seen thus far. Although smuggler also has his perks, I'd go with BH pistol tree for the extra speed and accuracy, Plus they have two nice specials to add to your bag of tricks. You will still have enough points left over for medic skills or even some artisian skills if you would like to go that route. Both BH and Pistoleer has their pro's and con's, it just depends on what your looking for. What I suggested is if you want to be the best in pistoleer. Once again, this is my opinion and opinions vary greatly from person to person.

Yeah, pistoleer is a LOT better than BH right now. Take it from a BH. We have two usable lines and two broken/impossible lines... at the bargain price of only 217 skill points. Right now, there's no reason to master when you can be a pistoleer AND something else. Go be a Master Pistoleer / Master Creature Handler if you want the most bang for your buck.

Master Bounty Hunter is basically a complete waste of time. Invenstigation and LLC are jokes. This leaves the carbine and pistol lines. Carbine was good - but with the KD nerf it is now worthless. That leaves the BH pistol line which is truly a work of art. That's why you see so many expert bounthunters / pistoleers.

erm hate to break it to ya bolanos but cant get novice medic or novice artisan with master pistoleer/bh pistol 4, only leaves 13 pts so pickin an elite class and one box out of that class is all ya can do really...SL with mobility 1 is decent

Um CHs are messed up at the moment, so you would NOT be getting the best bang for your buck by doing a secondary in CH.

Tell me about it, I got novice creature handler, tamed a domestic tusk cat and one of those horse's off of Naboo, and now it say's I can't call them because I have no chance in taming them. Funny thing is, I ALREADY DID TAME THEM! Ifthey mean control it is one thing, but it's already tamed, what's the deal? Talk about being screwed up So far what I have seen has been Pistoleer and BH pistol line like my first post. My friend say's he wants to get smuggler with pistoleer skills from MP. So, there are lots of ways to go, just look at the skill tree and see which looks most enticing to you

Bounty Hunters totally suck. I wouldn't even do the pistol line. At Master Pistoleer you have plenty of skill pointsleft over to train something more usefull like medical skills. I could kill BH's easily before the patch, now it's even eaiser.

Personally going master pistoleer / master ranger.

Not enough people go ranger. In PVP you can still use your traps against faction pets. If people realized they can drop faction pets' melee and ranged defense way down with glow wires more people would use them I think.

Also, traps were made more effective since 8.13 patch. I don't have any metrics but as someone who uses traps non-stop I noticed a difference. Also the feedback as to how you affect an animal when you trap is more specific.

Last night I did pay attention to Baz Nitches with my hunting party. Two glow-wire traps applied to a Baz Nitch and it dies about TWICE as fast as it normally does.

I killed my parents... You're next!

Master Bounty Hunter does have all the special attacks he needs for pvp and pve, and can get plenty of pistoleer skills with his 33 points that he has left. Or if you go that route you can raise 4+3 bars in CH or Medic trees for a good pet by your side or ability to heal 600 points of damage with one go (albeit you need very good stim B or Cs).

After going master pistoleer + full pistol line in BH tree I feel my accuracy and speed are kind of overkill, speed is capped and maybe accuracy as well, so I'm not really benefitting from all the points I have in them, especially speed since any good pistol is usually very close to the speed cap. And I have no complementary skills at all, I'm only good with a pistol and nothing else really.
