Thread: Launcher Pistols... the solution to Pistol range?
the launcher pistol using pistol specials and requireing a commando cert is fine by me...
the commando MUST use it till he gets to at least tier 3 of his preffered tree because at least he has some accuracy with it from mastering marksmen.
If it was a heavy weapon then the second he hit novice commando he'd have to go back to meatlumps.
When the game launched, the Launcher Pistol gave pistol exp. Commandos hated this becuase it is the only weapon a novice can use with any proficiency. The Devs realized this as an oversight and changed it to heavy weapons exp.
What people in this board and every other combat profession board over look is skill pts.You have a set number of skill pts for a reason.
You need to make choices.
You don't get to do it all.
If you want a weapon that does blast damage, then spend the pts and get novice commando.If you want the scatter pistol then spend your pts and get it.
As for BH abilities with a pistol, they spend 214 skill pts. They deserve it.
Oh, and as to the original posters question, yes, the LP has the best range mods of any weapon in game. 0/+5/0
