Thread: Launcher Pistols... the solution to Pistol range?
When the game launched, the Launcher Pistol gave pistol exp. Commandos hated this becuase it is the only weapon a novice can use with any proficiency. The Devs realized this as an oversight and changed it to heavy weapons exp.
What people in this board and every other combat profession board over look is skill pts.You have a set number of skill pts for a reason.
You need to make choices.
You don't get to do it all.
If you want a weapon that does blast damage, then spend the pts and get novice commando.If you want the scatter pistol then spend your pts and get it.
As for BH abilities with a pistol, they spend 214 skill pts. They deserve it.
got a question for you.. why would pistoleers get a cert for a heavy weapon... that thing isn't a pistol.. it's a rocket launcher. only commandos should get it because it is their primary weapon and it is not easy to get
another case of the masters cant use their tools.....

What we should try to do, is get the launcher pistol made to a Pistoleer weapon, then try and have the commando's certification changed to a launcher rifle that worked as a heavy weapon.
Because as it stands, the Commando's dont want to use a Pistol as their main weapon, that not only goes against what a commando is defined is, but it uses pistol and pistoleer specials as well, and Pistoleers do want the pistol, so we should work towards a fair medium.
