Thread: Any way to up Damage vs Jedi?

I will help you out. Your first problem is pistols. A very good FWG 5 will get you 350-900 damage. The only thing that matters in PvP is min damage. Against a MDEF or anyone with just a little Defense the best you can hope to do in PvP with lvl 80 v lvl 80 is your min damage*1.3. You will only be able to do 30% damage over your min. I hope that you are now seeing the problem with pistols.
If you get yourself the 8% sliced proton carb your min damage is almost 500 +90 for cold damage. Taking into effect the damage reduction for PvP here is how the two guns stack up.
FWG5 - 350*0.7 = 245 Now add in about 30% more damage for all of your accuracy.
245*1.3=318.5.
Last point Critical Shot is a 1.9 damage modifer.
318.5*1.9=605.15. with the 50% reduction for force armor you can only do 302 per shot.
Proton Carb
Min Damage 495*0.7=346.5 (+90 cold). adding the 30% extra damage = 450.45 (+90cold)
With Critical shot. 450.45*1.9= 856 +90 cold = 946 with 50% damage reduction 472 worst case.
I usually do about 1018 per shot against a MDEF before armor or 509 after armor.

You do over 1000 damage per shot against a MDef who most likely has aura/valor up? Ummm...can you provide a screenshot please? I would love to see him taking over 1000 damage PER SHOT even if it's without force armor.

Yes I do 1018 on average per shot against a MDEF with my sliced Proton Carb. You can not beat the Min Damage +the Elemental Damage on the Proton, it is higher than almost any other weapons MIN damage. Min damage has a PvP damage reduction but therethere is not PvP reduction for Elemental Damage, that is why jedi can hit so hard.
Next my Accuracy with out Food is 271. I am Master BH/MCarbs, with +25 Carb Accuracy and +25 General Accuracy. With Crispic I hit 310 -320 Accuracy.
Of note, if I use my +60 Accuracy Scoped, Damage capped E11 with a 453 min damage I will still do less damage than my Proton Carb. Since the Min damage on the Proton is almost 500 and then when you add in the +90 Cold you have a min of almost 600. That will beat out almost any other Player Made Carb/Pistol.

What about versus say an HLR? How does the Proton compare to one?

Also, even when your FWG5 has hit the damage slice cap for max damage (935 IIRC?), a damage slice will still raise the min damage, and thus still has the potential of improving your damage output. Might be worth considering.
This isn't true. Once you reach the maximum damage slicing cap you cannot slice the weapon any further for damage.
