So your saying that when a class is too powerful they will get nerfed, and you spemmed him with pistolwhip so that he had no defense against you.

Nice job.

Steenky, I think you misunderstood. I'm not claiming it was less "cheap" of me to use my pistol knockdown then if he were to use his ranged knockdown. Personally I think we should all be able to use whatever skill we have at our disposal and shouldn't get flamed for having the ability to spam knockdowns or use pets. Any creature handlers ever hear this after winning pvp, "Wah-Cry-Sniffle, your nothing with out your pets!" The obvious answer is,"DUh, without my pets I'm chef!" Those of us with CH earned it, just like BH's earn eyeshot. We shouldn't have to apologize for using the skills we struggled long hours to earn. We need to remember that half the professions don't even work and I believe none of the classes defense modifiers are working. We'll just have to wait and see how upcomming fixes effect the game. Perhaps knockdown will become obsolete when our resist vs knockdown actually works.

I apologize I must have misread it then. We are in near perfect agreement then. If they ever fix the defense modifiers I think you'd see alot more pistoleers resisting underhand shot than BHs resisting pistolwhip. Just like to add that I dueled a BH to try out pistolwhip and he killed me with a torsoshot he got off in between spammed whips. Never figured out how he did that.

That's my opinion as well, they nerfed knockdown before even allowing the modifiers to be fixed.

I bet if they had implemented the modifiers, they wouldn't have nerfed knockdown so hard.

You probably missed a pistolwhip, which has happened to me as well. Pistol whip is not only melee range but it also lasts only as long as it takes the person to stand again. That's why I still favor a really fast pistol as opposed to a higher damage model. If I miss a whip, I can get another off in time to keep them down and since my gun is fast, I can get some other shots in between whips. My pvp uber death sequence is usually something like Pistolwhip, Healthshot2, Bodyshot or Doubletap, then Pistolwhip again, rinse and repeat. If your gun is around 1.8 spd or better, you can get two shots between whips, cutting down ham costs. Still really helps to be able to stimpack yourself.

so you call him lame for spamming knockdown, kill him using the same tactics, and then expect a pat on the back? Im failing to see your logic cause again it just boils down to nerf them not us, so we can kill them easier.

In the end if you are gonna nerf underhand shot any more, atleast bring it back to its normal ham cost. I think that there should be a certain chance that it will knock them down, and a timer of immunity after they get knocked down. It should be the EXACT SAME WAY FOR AL OTHER CLASSES.

In the end though, your story was funny, but I still think you are a hypocrite

I like to hunt to Bach's Cello Suites. I guess Eye of the Tiger would be good if I didnt dislike Rocky so much.

No, when I fought him I connected on all 5 whips and was using a 1.7 speed scout. At the time I was an expert BH and had expert pistol abilities, so my speed was like 103 I think. Looking at the combat spam I clearly had the first hit in, then got hit with torso, then kept him down. Died shortly afterwards....and again....and again (dam fire effect heh).

Not sure where you read that, I don't even use the word lame, it's well, lame. The whole point of my post is touse what skills you have. He had knockdown shot and head shots, I had was pistol whip.

It's just meant to be a funny story on how I turned the tables on a bewilderingly overpowered class.

Typical BH reasoning. A funny story about somethign that happened on the way to the bank is really about nerfing Bounty Hunters. It's getting really funny to watch BH's freak out over nothing over and over and over and over...

It's just a funny story. Read it, laugh, move on.

Im looking forward to this class. Seems like the most fun of the single level combat proffessions. I just wish I could master it. ;( Im already mastering architect and merchant. Im about 11 or 21 points to short to master pistoleer too

But I think i will get far enough into it to have some fun.

Hey Nergal! Right on! My favorite one is Bach's Cello suite1, prelude1. I can play it on my double bass too!

Shwanke, I feel your pain. I'm not sure I'll be able to master Pistoleer either but I at least want stopping shot. Also we don't get a knockdown shot until Master Pistoleer, which is really tempting me, might have to drop some skills top get master.
