Took me ages to find an ID to buff out my arms and torso when I first became a commando back in january, I wanted that just out of boot camp look
You can guarantee that I won't be ruining my image with one of those things, they look like something out of a B-list 80's sci-fi show that aired in black and white to look cool. lol
Based on the current drive of the devs being for social interaction, the cybernic limbs will probably require components from master artisan, crafted by droid engineers and actually attached by image designers, but only after getting clearance by a master doc. lol

It occurs to me that there is an enormous amount of speculation flying about with these weapons, and little mentioning of each weapons established history in the EU. For the sake of informing the community, I'll list some data on them here. I'm using the Arms and Equipment Guide by Wizards of the Coast for the d20 Star Wars RPG as a consolidated source.
Pistols-
- Alliance Disruptor: I suspect this is infact the Merr-Sonn Model MSD-32 Disruptor. It would be a good improvement on the DX-2. Historically, this weapon was completely removed from the company records and its history wiped from the databanks as much as one can. A nasty weapon indeed. Many ended up in the hands of criminals, and are still in use. Only reason I could Imagine naming this an "Alliance" weapon is a miss read of that fact. In all sincerity, disruptor weapons are exactly the type of thing the Alliance would be against not for.
- Death Hammer Pistol: A decent weapon, heavy damage for its class, and very durable, though a bit weighty. Likely good damage but a slower rate of fire. "Common among Bounty Hunters and Professional Killers." Definately destined for BH certification.
- Intimidator: The intimidator is a nice pistol, withinteresting if not unorthodoxlooks. Too bad it doesnt look like this! The model they are using seems to be a modified Kelvarek Consolodated Arms Dissuader KD-30, a slugthrower. If they follow the intimidators stats, it will be a low damage, high rate of fire weapon. The Intimidator was something like a blaster version of a machine pistol. If they follow the KD-30, I dont know what to expect. The FWG-5 was a flechette pistol, the "striker" a slug thrower. Could go in any direction, though I'd love to see an improved kinetic pistol... The KD-30 is infact one of the few real acid weapons in SW, so it could stay true to that, with a DOT perhaps, if they realy want to stick to the original.
- Renegade: The SorroSuub "Renegade" is listed as a true "superheavy" class pistol. It stands as the be all and end all of hand cannons untill the BlasTech T-6 "Thunder" arrives on the scene after the fall of the empire... and that weapon is classified as a carbine in some areas! Expect this one to be the biggest single-shot base damage pistol in SWG (providing the devs dont mess it up), at least AP1, and likely hurting in speed. This model has been back-halved, replacing the barrel back with a more realistic design than the original illustrations. "The Renegade... is extremely popular with pirates, smugglers, andothers who feela need to have the largest gun in the room" I smell smuggler cert... but I'm often fooled.
Carbines:
- Alliance Needler: No idea. There are a few canidates, butnone look like the model that I can identify.
- Czerka Dart: Same as #1. Czerka is an older manufacturer, dating back to Old Republic times, if that helps.
- Underslung: The Merr-Sonn Underslung Rotary Carbine is an attention getter... actually classified as a light repeating blaster with the T-21, this baby is the mini-gun of the blaster world. Expect bad accuracy, low range, high speed and a big punch. Appalingly messy.
- E-5: This is a fun little number from the Baktoid Armor Workshop knicknamed the "Droid Blaster" as it was originally intended for droid use. This one has less heat shielding and may pose a problem when fired by living beings. Perhaps a good accompanyment to the cybernetics???
Hope that helps!

I'm hoping the Undersling carbine goes to commandos myself, the fact that it looks like a minigun just screams heavy weapon.
I wouldnt' be surprised if the intimidator went to commandos either as part of the replacement of the Heavy Support Weapons line.

This patch has been on TC for a week now and still no sign of where or how these weapons will be obtained.
Is anyone else starting to think that maybe these are rewards for space based quests and they are just putting the models in for the non-buyers in pub 10? It certainly wouldnt be the only JTL-related content in the patch (the starship terminals are in pub 10 as well), so it does make a certain amount of sense. I would hope they would come sooner rather than later, but it certainly is a thought.

A long while back, I used to play the pen and paper Star Wars RPG. I dont have as much as some, but I do find it good to have on hand. West End Games (WEG) held the first Star Wars RPG licence, and Wizards of the Coast (WotC) holds it now. The WEG stuff is an odd combo of things they made up on the fly and things from the movies and early books. I'm often suprized to find that items defined in WEG went on to gain their fame in later Star Wars books, and not vice versa. Fortunately, WotC is currently revisiting a fair amount of the WEG material for its d20 version of the RPG, and new books are out with plenty of compiled data, rather than thumbing through 3 or 4 WEG books. Oddly enough, I havent played in years, and yet I still find myself trolling the local comic and game shop to look at the new releases form WotC...
