unfortunately SOE only listens to one player group-the crying jedi.

Droid engineer: I have a lot of bugs and people only need to buy from me once!

Pistoleer: I have a lot of bugs and my specials are useless

Jedi: OMG I CANT PWN TEH RIFULMAN FAST ENUF! I GOTTA BLOKZOR ALL HIS SHOTS LIKE IN TEH EPSOD1!

SOE picks.... JEDI!

Hmm wonder what it would be like to have a special outside of fanshot that I could really find usefull in the Pistol Tree.

HealthShot2 is useful.

So is PMD1

Woot! We got three working specials!

Yeah but I for one really don't use health shot no sense in using up the time in combat to hit /healthshot 2 when I can just whip out my Modifed Republic blaster and use Fan Shot a few times for some fun on those pesky crowds. But I will say I do enjoy Pistol Melee Def 1, even more so if I use Full auto single one from the marksman tree. (Little used way for a ranged to have their own kd+dizzy combo.

Yep, a BH/Pistoleer gets that great bonus and most don't even realize it. True, you have to switch weapons, but you get to spam FullAutoSingle1a few times, stick a dizzy, and then PMD to your heart's content.

Absolutely nothing I can think of no reason to use it.

The one complaint I suspect you will get a lot of is from the Jedi, because if Disarm Shot were swapped over to this funtion, Bounty Hunters would spam it like its Warcry. So as a way to make the skill more balanced, I think it'd either have to be a "chance" to disarm, or there would have to be a timer on it, not unlike Knockdown. However, I WOULD give Disarm Shot a bonus to its disarming effectiveness if they target is not engaged in combat (which makes sense, when you think about it).

I've found that Devs, as well as players that might be negatively affected by something, are more willing to listen to suggestions about it if they contain both a positive and a negative.

A timer on this ability is something I have and will heartily support. I'm no powergamer, and I firmly believe that every benefit should be balanced with an appropriate disadvantage. A 30-second timer is great. Again, this shouldn't be a duel-breaking ability in itself (just like Pistol Whip isn't), but when combined with good thinking and tactics, could provide you with that edge you need (like with Pistol Whip, the best you can hope for with a successful KD is a few seconds to step back from that TKM/Swordsman and give yourself a few seconds to set up for the phat kite). And anyway, Jedi block 85% of any shots you make anyhow.

I agree with making Disarm Shot doing what it says and having a delay of 30sec to even 1min so it doesn't get to overused and everyone complaining about it. I've been working on a jedi killing template and from what I've seen so far is the only way pistol is any good is to have BH with it. pistoleer by itself kinda sucks real bad. only good thing is bleed or health shot to get a bleed tick which I use with torso from BH and the dodge mods that you get. I think the idea of hitting a player that is not in battle with Disarming Shot should have a greater chance of success. with everything that is broken in pistoleer I would hope that they would fix some of it before the combat revamp. Granted this is not the only profession that has a lot of broken specials and problems but it's the one that I'm working with and the one i'm finding more about as I get closer to mastery. I did all of pistol in BH first because it had more to offer that I knew that worked.
