Heya
I'm master pistoleerand I just made 6 millions in 4 days, its actually really easy.
Pick up some good Composite armor, spend the cash needed to get a good enough base protection, ~70% (doesn't have to be that high but its a good averedge)
Go to Dantoine, search for a City which is an "Improved Job Market", that will up the pay for the missions considerably, Jantas and mokks go for 31-34k per mission. (you need a large solo group)
Make sure you're propperly buffed! and get a mind/focus/willpower buff too, or just pop two brandy and you'll be just fine, they wont be able to touch you, I was kinda surprised when you said they killed you with 200 point hits, guess you weren't buffed.
I used an averedge Republic Blaster these 4 days, max damage 213, speed 1.7.
Just target the camp, stay at ~60m distance and spam Fan Shot, and runn in circles around the camp, ignore the Jantas/mokks unless you want the XP or loot, and then hop on your bike and drive to your next mission.
(geo pistols are great against NPC's and in PVP, but they dont do jack **edit** against a camp, pull out your fwg5 or republic or whathaveyou for that)
16 runs with two 31k missions each = >1 million credits.
Have fun with your cash, I did

The cities are not the same in every galaxy. Just ask around the Mining Outpost or see if the planetary map tells you.

Hi I have a similar templete, Master Smuggler/ working back up the pistoleer tree0/0/3/2, and bh 0/0/4/0. I slice the terminals in my player city (improved job market)for 40-45k missions mostly jantas and mokks in a group with about 12 or higher. With my scatterI can walk though jantas and my spider fang fwg5 I can blow right through mokks. Make about 500k to 1mila day.Off 1 buff.

Guys thanks for the posts. I owe it to you guys to give an update. Last night I went to MO on Dantooine, got buffed, and joined a solo group. The buffs were 2333+ (no mind buff though) and the group was at maximum capacity most of the time. I checked my armor to make sure no pieces were at 50% or less, none were. I checked my weapons to make sure no pieces were at 50% or less, none were. I go to Forsaken, an Improved Job Market, and get 2 missions to the SE, 44k thanks to slicing the terminals.
Ok. I get to the first mission, park my bike about 75m from the mission, and proceed on foot. I health bleed one closest to me and try him 1-on-1. No biggie, easy kill. I get confident and try the remaining 3 at the same time. I kite them with a Geo pistol, using fan shot, multi-target shot, and stopping shot; going for low blow sometimes. Well they beat me to about 500 health left out of 3200. I finally kill them and destroy camp. Mokks have wicked bleeds, dizzy, and knockdowns by the way. I get my HAM back to full and go to the next mission.
Last mission was a janta. I figure kiting isn't the way to go so at this mission I kneel and Fanshot, Stopping Shot, and Torso Shot. Well same results, I get beat down to about 200 of my health. I ask my groupmates for suggestions. One asks if my armor needs to be repaired. I double check just to make sure and I discover my armor's condition has not moved since I began. So I relog and it still has not moved any. So I suck it up and go buy a new composite suit (80 kin./ 72 base) for 300k. Go back to dantooine, try again.
This time the only thing that hurts me are the bleeds, which get to about 145.
Has anyone ever heard of this happening? I remember the HAM bar graphic bar, but never heard of armor condition not updating. It was the last pieces out of the crates I made when I was an armorsmith.

I saw you have some smuggler skills. I have a very different strategy for making large amounts of credits, where the only prerequisite is having good armor (get something with 80% kenetic / energy) and feign death... farming AV-21 powerplants in the corvette.
Obtain a corvette ticket. Really doesn't matter which one, but I like to do the imperial assassination mission (getting a ticket is usually pretty easy). Go up to the vette alone. As a pistoleer you should be able to take out the low level 11k ham NPC's with ease. For the harder things you can just run and ignore them, and FD as necessary. I normally do the first three loot boxes pretty much immediately, then dink around and kill NPC's till I have about 15 minutes remaining. At that point I charge into the armory, loot the last chest, FD, and wait out the timer. I get a powerplant every 2-3 runs on average, and some nice dot weapons from the NPC's. On shadowfire the powerplants sell for 2-2.5 million each.
I am not sure how this compares to janta missions as far as credits/hour, but it is a heck of a lot more exciting.

Why bother wasting an expensive geonosian blaster on Mokk when there is a much simpler, cheaper, and more elegant solution?
All you need to know for cashing in as a pistoleeris:
2 Vasarian Brandy (to ensure you don't get mind incapped) + FWG5 + Fanshot + Mokk Mission = Dead Mokk + Cash
They're vulnnerable to stun, sure - everything is. Their achilles heal is that they're vulnerable to heat as well. My advice would be to take advantage of this. That, and don't stop running while you shoot.

Mediumpizza, Not sure what is happening when u aggro the jantas and mikks but I do the run and pull method.
1st i park 75-80m from camp, then i target the 1st victim, run twards him till he aggros then i run him away while stacking bleeds, turn low blow - last ditch him/her to death. they never hit me.

I'm not sure why you all seem to need medical buffs either. You don't need them. Just so long as you have good armour and brandy, you can take them on no worries.

Mokks are doable unbuffed, I managed to pullit off (not by choice) when my buffs wore out just as I started off. If you have Scout skills, you can go prone andseveral free-shots on any mobs who haven't chased you before and they won't react(They haven't located you yet, the number of free shots you get depends on your skill, speed of your weapon, and which special you use. you'll have to count for yourself, but 9 is the max as a speed-capped Master Pistoleer/BH. Sometimes you can get 10 if the 10th shot is the killing blow.) So you'll get your 9 shots on every Mokk or whatever you're fighting in the area, then use a Stimpack to recover the lost action (I'm a rodian so one stimpack goes pretty far for action recovery). If you know one of the enemies is far enough away from the pack to be pulled safely (I don't know what advice to give for this besides experimenting and getting a personal feel for it) then you can pop some bleeds on him and use PMD1 and SuppresionFire to keep them out of melee range as you run back firing (don't run in one direction, turn or you'll get outside the range of the camp and everything will respawn, plus it raises the risk that other creatures will come after you). If there are other hostiles in the area who aren't attached to your mission I'd say kill them first because they'll get it in their heads to kill you later and better to do it now when you aren't already engaged with Mokks.
When you get everyone on you, just keep moving, firing your best attack for the most part (Fanshot, Stopping Shot, Torso Shot...etc. depends on your template) using SuppressionFire to stop the Mokks in their tracks and pop some bleeds on them if you haven't already since you won't be shooting them for a while as you target a new enemy and repeat the process. Eyeshots, of course, if you've got it. If they do get on top of you, you use PMD1 (not 2) and hopefully you'll knock them down and while they're KDed you'll do 2x damage and if you're using a good FWG5, and have already done the prescribed freeshots then the baddie should be dead before they get up again if you knock them down.
Always keep some Neutron Pixie or Vasarian Brandy for emergencies if your mind is low and you need to use a Stimpack very quickly. In my experience all you need out of Medic is Novice because you can use stimpack Bs and with a good make that you'll find from a vendorthey'll fully heal you anyways when you're unbuffed.
Yeah, it's a lot more dangerous than buffed and armored, stuff can go wrong, but you'll look like a total bad-ass doing it when you pull it off.

Buffs let you spam fanshot non-stop until they're dead. 'Nuff said.

Yeah, you shouldn't really be taking any damage if you're buffed, got a nice FWG5, against Mokks. Especially since it seems you've got Smuggler and BH. Stop using MTPS! It's broken! It doesno damage! That's your problem right there.

The med buffs are good insurance. I've done it with just food buffs when my med buffs run out, but I have this aversion to getting killed.
Yes, you can kite Mokks with an FWG5, but honestly I've only seen one FWG that does as much damage as my Geno, and that FWG cost me as much as a comparable Geno! The expense doesn't concern me - it pays for itself within an hour or two.
As for specials to use as a pistoleer/smuggler? There are only a few worth considering: Low Blow, Last Ditch, Fan Shot, Stopping Shot, Body Shot 2 and Pistol Melee Defense 1. Health Shot 2 is good but you lose xp to the bleed, so I only use it in dire straits. I never have need for any other specials, these are the only ones on my toolbar.
