Damage is reduced far lower because Geonosian Blaster is AP0.

i can understand the frustration, but i think a more constructive approach would be to seek fixes for pistoleer rather than nerfs for bh and commandos.

Don't know what server you play onDaloco1 on but a 350 max dmg Geo on Corabantis will run you around 3 mil


Eyeshot is not a pistoleer shot its a bounty Hunter shot. Rifleman doesn't need skill mods from other professions to use his weapons. You would need to invest an additional 112 skill points to get master pistoleer/bh pistols 4 to get the shots you are comparing with riflemen


rifleman +90 speed

pistoleer +74 speed


don't care how you slice that one thats not good. They ought to be switched.


consider shooting a geo 350 max as sugested that gun having a 2.0 speed with a master mod of +74 you shoot stoppingshot at 2.1 second inetrvals delivering 829.3 DPS


now consider shooting a jawa rifle 275 max dmg 5.0 speed master mod +90 you shoot head shot3 at 1.0 second intervals delivering 866.3 DPS to the mind


So you're 3 million credit Geo still can't deliver the DPS a 65k jawa could and even at that your hitting random pools as the rifleman is drilling your mind.


BTW to shoot stoppingshot with a 2.0 speed pistol you would need a pistol speed mod of 86. To shoot stopping shot at 1 sec intervals with a 78 pistol mod as suggested you would need to be using a gun with 1.1 speed



A Geo Pistol against stun armor and PSG still won't get you very far unless you are shooting at the speed cap and are using either last dicth (smuggler shot) or a BH shots shoting at the cap.


Stopping Shot is no where close in comparison totorso or eyeshot, raw dps maybe but torso burns and eyeshot blinds and stopping shot is random pool. Eyeshot blinds and hits the mind pool. Torso shot burns and it can be stacked for dbl burn click. Yes a pistoleer can improve his pistol ability by dabbling in other professions and a rifleman cannot. But a pistoleerHAS to in order to be viable where a rifleman again does not. A rifleman can spend his points cranking up his defense or even have enough points to master doc and thats a nice combo.So Yes spending 112 more skill points, millionson attachmentsyou can beat a master rifleman, but don't forget the rifleman still has all the rest of his skill points to use for defense or medic, doctore even and your 112 in the whole to match up with him.

As for Daloco1, I think I understand more than you about the pistoleer profession. First off reread my post. Notice I state that a pistoleer (not considering any other profession) needs +23 speed bonus to cap with ANY of the pistoleer's pistols. I am fully aware that I can stack BH/MM (BTW a Mpistoleer/MMhas a +79 speed mod) onto my template and easily cap my speed and accuracy mods and be effective with pistols in PvP. For me I find that I would rather be a TKM, thats my choice, but I digress. That is not the point of my post. My post was to compare the differences one for one skill point expenditure between pistoleer and rifleman. Do this and I'm sure you'll agree that the pistoleer comes up with the short end of the stick. Even a Mpistoleer/Desperato/Rogue comes up short because the rifleman you are facing more than likely has stacked a melee profession, Combat Medic or Doc in to their template.

OH yeah and the original post. i don't think you have to take the commando gun or BH guns away and give them to pistoleer. Simply fixing the profession making dodge work as its suppose to (PVP mainly) increasing the pistol speed mod slightly increasing DPS and maybe giving us a pistol with AP1 would be nice. Making our specials do what they say and give us a state or two are all on my list. RandomB's list rocks let's hope the devs will take it under consideration.

On my server I have sliced plenty of off the shelf Jawa's (average selling price 20K) for over 300 max damage (31% damage slice or better). I resell them for 90K. There are Krayt Jawa running around with nearly 500 max damage. My own personal non krayt Geo is sliced to 294 max damage with a 34% damage slice, cost 1.5 million.


I personaly feel no stun weapon should be AP1. The Jawa rifle was used to disable droids with electricy (aka Ionized particles).

Nuh uh!! The Jawa Rifle is used to kill tanks (Composite Clad Hobos) at 64m at break-neck speed!



And the Pistoleer speed mod is +74, not +79.

lmao, what ur asking for is +140 speed... lol... and basically you want pistols to be the best. Thats not how it works. By the way, to the guy who compared stopping shot to headshot... stopping shot has a 4.0 delay mod. Head shot doesn't. So, why don't you compare strafe shot to stopping shot.. you will find that a rifleman has to get master marksman or get speed tapes, same as apistoleer does.Jawa ion rifles that are damage sliced do NOT have 5.0 speed... try 5.8.. so your info is wrong to begin with.


If you gave pistols those accuracy mods.. what you would get would be BH/pistoleer stackers with ungodly accuracy, and then YOU would be the one crying for a nerf.

you crack me up a pistoleer shouldn't have to spend 112 extra skill points to be competitive to a rifleman. As for comparing headshot to stoppingshot I was simply comparing pvp shot from pistoleerto pvp shot fromriflemen. Staright up who do you think would win a straight up duel a master pistoleer versus master riflman. End of story!! Pistoleer has no working specials BH does and Smuggler does but thats not pistoleer those are separate professions. Master Pistoler is not a novice profession it is an elite profession and not a tier or defense tree for Bounty Hunter. Pistoleer should have working specials. and if your going to say owe don't desrve speen because we can add another profession (BH) and get maybe you'll be arguing next we don't need 105 dodge either we can get it from fencer. And then you better take away mitigation there are many professions we can get that from, def vs skills why should we have those ither we can get those from TKA and fencer. Just because you can add to with another profession doesn't negate or give reason to leave a profession broke. It seems an odd place to argue against fixing the pistoleer profession in the pistoleer forums, but I guess thats the whole point. You get a little thrill out of griefing the community don't ya.. ya we like you too.

Which is why a Rifleman can waste a horde Stormtrooper before I can even attack, whereas it takes me 10 - 20 seconds to kill one, with my best weapon.

I'm in agreement there. I don't believe we need nerf rfileman or someone else. I truly believe that always leads to more problems. I simply believe we should be fixed. It wouldn't take much to fix our profession.


bump our speed up a few clicks

bump our dps up a few clicks


or instead of doing both of those give us duel wield


Throw in 1 AP1 pistol (just one would be nice)


Fix our specials so that they do what they say.


Find the bug in dodge that seems to keep it from working most of the time in PVP.


If you did those things you would simply be fixing and not adding (save the deul wield) to the profession. Most professions want new content all we're looking for are some fixes. Don't need to take stuff away from other porfessions either (ex scatter pistol launcher pistol or shots eyeshot torso shot). Those are the items that go with that profession We shoudl have that which is unique to our profession. Carbineer has working specials even though there is a carbinees tree in BH and so should we. Anyway I have high hopes for the summit with the correspondents and I believe we might finallly get a cpl items for the pistoleer this time around. We have a good correspondent with a good list of suggested fixes and a nice wish list. Let's just Hope RandonB knows pressure points LOL.
