Thread: when the heck are we gonna get our dx2's?!

I know it's silly, but style is important to me. And looking at the DX2 the first thing I thought was:
"I've seen more threatening looking attachments on a garden hose."
I mean, seriously. The elite level weapons, and not just for Pistoleer, look awful. And of course, there's currently no reason to use them over Marksman weapons, because they are bugged or only mediocre in ability.
Another thing that disturbs me about -weaponcrafting- in general is that optional components are useless. The pro/con ratio is seriously out of whack if you add something like a scope or barrel. From the moment I saw a DL44 tricked out like Han's as a static bit of scenery, I wanted one. But if I ever got one, the best it would be good for would be static scenery in my house.
That irritates me, but is off topic, so I apologize.
Btw: the DX2 has an Armor Piercing value of 1, the Republic Blaster also (but that one is useless at the moment)
Tangle Pistol does Stun Damage, but is AP 0
I've found a few practical uses for my DX2. It's decent, sliced 75-123 (around there) 2.1 attack speed. The specials do cost a bit but I find especially against Stormies and armoured mobs.
I carry around 3 guns...the right tool for the job and all
There is also a bug weaponsmiths are running into. When they make a gun it requires certain pieces stock,barrel,scope ect... Well one of the issues is that the weapon is only getting stats from one of these items instead of taking the average of them. So it gimps alot of the weapons. So besides crappy resources this also hinders the weapons.

The rare one is Platinite Copper. I thinkTitanium Aluminum is quite rare, too.
you mentioned how commandos get the launcher pistol, well friend, i hate to break it to you, but commandos dont even get XP from launcher pistols, theyr bugged adn give PISTOL XP not heavy weapons, makes it useful for hybrid pistoleer/commando (like im going to be). EVERY SINGLE commando gun is broken. they either dont certify, or dont hit, or dont hit as hard as they are supposed to.
and yes, i am a pistoleer too.
Before worrying about the DX2 they should offer up a Cert for the Republic Blaster.
Master Weaponsmiths can make it... and no class in the game can use it?? *boggle*

Platinite Copper - Disveteh - CD=960 (woohoo) OQ=103(oh crap)
Titanium Aluminum - Haogoite - CD=368 (bah) OQ=703 (not bad) but its rather rare.
Titanium Aluminum - Iavalis - CD=338 (bah again) OQ=334 (double bah) common, but garbage
...if the schematic is bugged so be it, but by the looks of the rare materials, maybe its just the materials.
My current DX2 is 79 - 123 (I think it was a+16% effectivness slice), 3.0 speed, wound chance 16%, 22/39/14 HAM usage
Its an extremely situational weapon (PvP, Dathomir mobs), otherwise I use my DH17. It was made by Mystr-E on the Radiant server, so I don't know the resources used to make it.
