Also if you read the first one, make sure its the revised version, its right on the cover hard to miss.

Scary thing about the series is that I find the first two books the weakest of the set. The first is kind of cool, except the character value isn't very strong (you hardly get to 'know' Roland). I thought the second one was jumbled.
It's only when they come together in III that the series heats up. Check it out for you 'true pistoleers'

I've only read the first two, but they were the old copies. What's different about the revised version?

just a bit of expansion...I really didn't find it helped much.
Best bet is to go on to #3

I *heart* this thread. I've seen Wolves of the Calla all over the place and knew it was by Stephen King, but never thought it was Dark Tower V.
