First off devil do you remeber his name, maybe I can get in contact with him.

Also as for people killing themselves when fighting unbuffed, just learn you cant spam specials.

I also do they same thing except if I see someone being an a hole, especially to a new player or anyone, I challenge them to a duel. IF I when it shuts them up, if I lose o well you can trash talk me all day. It also leads to interesting duels, like last night, I forgot I had no action, so I lost pretty quick.

I PvE 95% unbuffed but in my experience PvP unbuffed = Cloner.

I can't imagine logging on and my firstpriority is where to get my buff or stopping what I was doing just because my buff was getting ready to run out.

I know I'm weird.

Hehe, no, not weird at all (I've said that before, haven't I?). I quite agree. I used to be of the mindset that I would never do anything combat-related (PvE) unless I had full doc and mind buffs, and I used to stop and immediately go get another buff if mine ran out while I was playing. Lately, I try to avoid buffs if at all possible, and have so much more fun trying to figure out strategies for staying alive (using foods, tanks, low-encumbrance armors, ideal weapon types and ranges, picking and choosing my specials wisely instead of constantly spamming them, carefully choosing the best HAM stat migrations, etc). I also find that I have a lot more time for playing the game instead of looking for a doc, standing in line, and waiting in the cantina (that can easily be half an hour or more wasted, just getting ready to fight).

Back to the topic at hand though, I unfortunately can't imagine PvP in the current state of the game without buffs, and buffs do have their uses in PvE (I got buffed today to do my Aurelian Villege FS quests, and it made it a whole lot easier and faster). I would never even attempt fighting some mobs (e.g., Nightsisters) without buffs. Unfortunately, it's also true that certain professions/templates (not mentioning any names here)are more dependent on buffs just to stay alive.

This is going to be a whole different game in this regard when the CURB comes out, I suspect, andI for one am greatly looking forward to it...

I, being Human, took advantage of the mind stat bug. I have 1100 Mind and Will power and 900 Focus, this way I don't need to get a Music or Dancer buff to go out, but a few brandies help with doing some high-end TKM moves. Because I have High Mind stats, my Health and Action pools are in the 400s, this means I can't fight anything without buffs.

I would go and get my stats changed again so that I could do some stuff unbuffed, but the Image Designers are all extinct now, so I have to get a buff to do anything dirt-side anymore.

The only times that I would fight without buffs is in space.
