Hey I remeber hearing a while back about a pistoleer dueler, who could defeat most opponents, with no buffs or armor. I was just wondering if any of you remeber this, what skills he used, and what his stat mitigation was like. I think it would be awesome.

not gonna happen in this lifetime. At least not anymore. Defensively we don't stack up high enough to get by w/o armor and goin unbuffed in effective armor is a death sentance. We don't deal enough damage to end a fight quickly.
Mad props to whoever could pull this off, but it was prolly before mitigation and the chef revamp.
( I'm assuming you mean all buffs, not just doc buffs. You could maybe pull it off with the right food combo, but only for about 8 minutes for each full stomach. Think vercupti, air cake, synthstake, pixie, brandy and mist)

I was just wondering if any of you remeber this. Nobody seems to.
What skills he used. At a guess, the carefully honed skill of standing outside Mos Eisley Starport offering duels to new players.
And what his stat mitigation was like. Doesn't matter when you're fighting nooblets.
I think it would be awesome. Yeah man! Awesome!

heh there is a person on bloodfin that is pistoleer/bh that pvp's without buffs 90% of the time ... yeah he dies to jedi's often ... but i have watched him take down plenty of buffed up chars before they could get a hit on him ... heh he also isnt wearing armor .. (only time i see him with armor and buffs is if he is going on a pve event ... or a larger raid for pvp) ... so it IS possible ... but you have to choose your stats and template wisely ... and get some decent LOW ham cost pistols ...

I'm so used to not leaving my house without doc, music and dance buffs from my alts that the thought of PvP unbuffed seems crazy.
I'm sure you could kill buffed melee'ers with that temp as you just spam eyeshot and kite, butI find it hard to believe you could kill a decent PvP'er without a full set of buffs.

I beat up on on people all the time while unbuffed and unarmored. But of coarse they are too or else they would surely kill me. Now with melee id get taken out in a sec unbuffed and and unarmored so i just run around. Thats they key. The only problem I run into is losing my action bar to quick after like 3 specials. But bassicly attack which ever bar is weakest of your opponent. Im BH/Pistoleer so i can hit the health and mind pretty hard. I've never lost to a ranged porfession besides maby another pistoleer. One word DODGE. Suggestion against melee RUN and against other ranged just move around cloe to them. They wont touch ya. :-)

See what I mean, that just sounds scary.
I used to have my stats at about
750/400/400
750/400/400
1100/600/600
And I would fight in PvP unbuffed sometimes too, but as soon as someone turns up with 10k HAM from buffs you cant make a dent.
So I make sure I have 10K HAM before I go anywhere nowadays, kudos to those that dont though.
I couldn't beat em, so I joined em.

Once I get master and start working on my other stuff I'm going to start fighting unbuffed. I think it would be much more fun and at least you don't have to worry about decay aye.

I remeber the good 'ole days when Doctor buffs have not been descovered yet. People wore clothing to PVP and we just kept on killing eachother. No decay and no wounds because we all cloned in the same place.
I remember being a noobie rebel, recently recruited, defending Anchorhead from the daily, sometimes more, Imperial raids from Bestine. I really miss those times...

Well just remember. Actions speak louder than words. If there are a bunch of people starting to fight unbuffed and unarmored and sometimes winning (wich means cheap $fights) more and more people will start doing it, wich also means more people will want to pvp.
No matter what skill I am or what i'm wearing if I see a reb getting ganked or anything I will fight, I alwase die but I fight. I have gotten a few lucky hits in and have killed very fewbut it's so fun. I just clone run fight clone run fight over and over. so much fun.

Unbuffed, you are more likely to kill yourself than anyone else.
