Thread: Whatever Happened to the Concept of Dual Wielding Pistols and One-Handed Melee Weapons?

Katarn is 87 combat levels of very dead melee animal. I have been called apon to run in and
kill the thing for a couple of friends so far... I should have a flat fee or something.

I'm having issues with the ARC-170 quest. my wookiees keep dying on me because I can't kill the Stormies fast enough. so next time, I'm gonna kill all them lil Stormies in advance (all CL 25's except for the AT-ST which is CL 65. I laughed at the thing.)


In any event, it's one of those times I miss having BH. Sprayshot + fanshot is fun. fanshot alone is too slow.


Oh, I do miss the ranged knockdown as well. Lowblow in Smuggler ain't a knockdown in the CU, it's an attack speed reduction (basically, I feel like a ranged CM biowarfare expert who can't heal.) Yeah, and I miss Assault Armor. I get hindered pretty badly with Assault Armor with only Commando 0400.


Haven't tried the Katarn. That's gonna be a tough one. Unless it's melee only and there is only one. Then it's toast, like every other melee 1v1 thing I see. Well, until Concussion Shot gets fixed.

Meesa think that Badger be way more powerful than the CU intended any solo player to be. Just kidding, but you're definitely killing things that there's no way I could solo with my current template. That Combat Doc stuff must work wonders. As for the Katarn, I accidentally stumbled upon an exploit (at least I consider it an exploit) that will keep people from taking any damage from him, and can imagine that someone with powerful DOT's (strong enough to overcome his insane regen rate) at his disposal could kill him pretty easily. I won't post it here though because, well, it's an exploit and I don't want to perpetuate it.


As for the cone AOE's, Nifty, yeah, I definitely hear you there. I've been playing around with various templates, some of which include both Spray Shot and Fan Shot, some that have only one or the other, and on Kashyyyk at least, I really miss not having both of them, for the separate timers. Having the medic skills though compensates for the extra damage I take trying to run away from groups of mobs.

You're talking about the bugged terrain aren't you.


I do manage to kill quite a lot of hard stuff, but I was out hunting last night and got killed by a giant krayt and then an ancient... I was tired after a hard days work and was playing really poorly.... the Krayts got their revenge.


If the servers come up soon I look forward to seeing the changes to Krayts... seems they are all going down one by one at the moment though.

As for the krayts... well, it's nice that to see that you're not invincible after all. But yeah, I agree that it will be interesting to see what happens with the changes.
