Thread: melee defense 1 overpowered
I am dead tired of hearing PvP whinners complaining about knockdowns! I am a BH and we where the first profession targeted well lets make a list shall we!
PROFESSIONs WITH AT LEAST ONE KNOCKDOWN MOVE IN THEIR TREE:
- Bounty Hunter
- Tk
- Pistoleer
- Carbiner
- Smuggler
and I am not too sure about the fencers and pikemen!
A full grown TK bashes damages at over 2.5k damage per hit so stop whining because a player who was more advanced than you overpowered you (as he should have !) and go get some training before talking about things you do not even begin to understand!
NEWBIES WHO DON'T EVEN HAVE ONE ADVANCED PROFESSION YET SHOULD KEEP THEIR TRAPS SHUT AS FAR AS CRITICIZING THEM! YOU JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!
If you are a novice brawler and already started PvP, sorry for you but you got your levels of testosterone way too high! go train your char and remember that most PvP fans are powergammers so don't think you are going to own the world because you made novice TK!
IMO, only melee types should be able to knockdown.
Range + Knockdown = Very Overpowered
If I shoot someone they die. If I punch them they hurt. TK needs to be nerfed to reflect the real world. Let them knockdown but cap their dmg at 10 per hit.
I had a feeling when I saw the title...and then the first sentence "I am a novice TKA" blah blah. Like someone else said, get some boxes in the class before you take one someone in PvP.
Next time, lunge at 14m, then knockdown, then beat his pistol using ass.

ya got owned... you accually ran up to him and placed yourself in his range and got beat down. Should have used Lunge (greater distance than pistol whip) then finished him off... but you got beat fair and square... leaves a nasty after taste doesn't it?

I'm sorry to say this because I play a pistoleer... but.... If you had a gun in your hand and Bruce Lee was standing a foot away from you, you would get your A$$ handed to you.
If a TKA closes range, pistoleers should be running away, not stand toe to toe and out figh the poor guy. That's just lame. I want to be powerful but not so powerful I can beat a melee player from melee range. BORING.
hit ctrl+s, then hit that button that's called "surrender"
Bruce Lee was fast, but not faster then a bullet. All respect for Bruce Lee, he's my martial arts idol, but reality says a master of a firearm would beat any master of unarmed combat. At melee range it would be atleast 50/50, this time he lost, perhaps he won't next time, and that pistoleer will be on the brawler forum calling for a nerf.

Replace knife with just about anything that is melee.

Give yourself a good 5 feet and sure you'd win, but within a foot and there's a good chance someone like Bruce Lee would kick that gun out of your hand so fast you wouldn't know what hit you. Plus TKA's in the starwars universe should be even better then Bruce Lee, they're tapping into the force after all.
I can't believe you people want to be able beat TKA's at melee range 50% of the time when we already own them 100% of the time at range.How greedy can you get? All we have to do is kite them to death. If you're stupid enough to let a TKA get within arms reach you DESERVE to die.
