I agree that once you get within melee range, the battle should be over quickly, and in the melee specialist's favor. Now, this is true against most ranged professions, and that's a good thing. But...

I've played melee professions in other games before and usually, the melees either run faster, can absorb huge amounts of damage, or they have a unique special attack that makes the win practically inevitable once you get to melee range (stuns, for example). Unfortunately, none of these are really true for this game. As a result, melees do have to put a lot more time and effort into using good tactics to win. Let's also add the fact that melees don't have a good /follow command and you end up getting 'out of range' all the time as well as the fact that you stop moving for an instant in order to attack. Yes, melee's are at a big disadvantage in this game, no question about it.

But regarding the pistoleer, I do agree with you that pistol whip does seem to have a higher priority than it should. Do TKA's have a good knockdown resist...or at least one that's better than a pistoleer's? Perhaps once the resists are fixed, it'll be a different story.

But the thing is. If i am only good at pve...then being a master makes me almost pointless.


I want to die to range.


i dont want to die to melee range vs a gun



I think it is fair for brawlers to ask this because pvp is a major part of this game. We should not be left out of it.

if they make rifles snipe from long distance, and still do those one hit wonders called headshots....they better give us mind enhance packs.
