I use suppresion fire a ton with Ixad, but I would not ave gone out of my way to get it. If you are a Master Gunfighter and have to master marksman for some other reason, or you just wanted a couple of additional points of accuracy and speed for pistols, then you will probably find a use for the tools this gives you. Otherwise, no. I would not have bought that level of ranged support. I fould those skill points more useful in getting first aid 2, and exploration 3 to add to the basic level of medic and scout. I can run with decent speed over uneven ground. I'd much rather be able to move quickly to keep ahead of a MOB, than have to rely on an attack that may, or may not stick. Also, for any that already have Low Blow, this skill is even less critical. Sure, you can spam it all day to give melee types some problems since there is no timer on posture down, but I've never found it to be more effective than simply using /burstrun.

I'm of mixed opinion about Suppression fire. If i use it, it's only good against NPCs who don't use ranged attacks, which isn't too many. It does work OK on low level nighsisters, but the higher ones, it will rarely ever stick. Putting a NPC into a kneel or prone when they have a gun would just help them shoot you better, wouldn't it ??
