Um, I didn't have much of a problem getting it. I just mastered TK Saturday and I have 600 left over for Pistoleer; I just made Novice. I've been playing for 3 months on weekend nights. All I did was spam I was training in Eisley or the MO, not every minute like some but every 5 or ten. Also I never paid a cred to train.

Apprentice points were an incentive for more experienced characters to group up with less experienced ones when the game was first released. Unfortunately, the game has "matured" and the opportunities to train other players has reduced a great deal. APs were a good idea, but their time has come and gone, really.

Hmm, I don't know about that, I've mastered 4 different professions (never went on the holo-grind) and I've capped out my APXP again (and thats since the Jedi change that killed off all the holo-grinding) and although I do hang around various places a bit I don't go looking to teach people. Maybe I'm just lucky.
Having said that, with the apparent lower count of new players and the death of holo-grinding (not that thats a bad thing) I can see how its going to get more and more difficult to get APXP, I'm just glad you don't need it for pilot skills.,

Yeah, too bad we are now getting slammed with this stupid quest-based grinding system.

The reason you can't get AP is because you're a pistoleer lol, a dying breed for the most part right now. I've also got TKM and I'm capped on AP because...well...TKM's are a dime a dozen. Try and find someone in the same boat as you, help each other out.
Btw, nothing wrong with Bloodfin, your enemies are merciless and your friends will bend over backwards for you, just gotta have more friends than enemies.

Well, the biggest problem is that there is no one really going for pistoleer anymore. I love the profession but its a joke, just like commando is. We have little power, we suck in PvP, and can't compete to much in PvE. So, you going to have to try other professions to get the xp.
If you really want a challange in getting ap xp. Go to TC-prime. It doesn't matter how much credits you got, there is just not enough people on there to get xp from. I am still trying to master artisan for one of my toons.

Same here, and it wasn't that long ago. If you actually play the game, you'll be just fine. If you get buffed and grind to 4-4-4-4 alone, you'll be having a lot of trouble when the time comes to fill the Master box. It just goes to show that the AP system is working as intended.

ZBRAX,how does your friends being pistoleers have anything to do with getting AP?
AFIREINSIDE, like my post says, I get AP from TKM, don't know your template, but if you're picking up a melee prof then theDant mining outpost is a good place to train people and maybe check out Mos Eisley or anywhere many noobs congregate, they always appreciate the free training.
I'd also suggest looking for a guild, it might take you a couple tries to find the one that suits you, we've got a massive guild and everyone really bands together, a guildmate will usually help you grind out AP with the worthless XP he or she's got from a prof they dropped long ago.

Read the post above mine and the other posts, we are talking about training for instance, medic to get AP for something such as Pistoleer.
