I hear ya. I made a post on core systems that a quest should be receved from the trainer that you are using the AP for. Not many people answered though

Find a buddy who has extra xp ( I find scout xp is the easiest), and get him to keep dropping the 1st level of it while you keep training him in it. Make sure it is the 1st box in the starting profession tho. You get the most AP points that way. You cap at 30K scouting xp, so if you teach the 1st skill you will get 600 AP.

Well first off people are not supposed to master a profession in 1 day and then be ready for master. The plan is that you would interact with others and help others and then getting apprentise points would be no problem. Go find a noob and help them for a few days to learn stuff and you will get app xp fast.

The ranged 1 wayis still the best way to get xp.. good luck.

Lol, you mean I should wait to get AP points for a proffession that is hardly as good as dabbling in another? Interaction plays too much in this game. It's depressing when you have to PAY to get apprentice points. Not many noobs live long on Bloodfin due to the player community here . Anyways, not many people go ranged fighting anymore just to help someone else get apprentice points.

On Bloodfin the eaisest way to get App XP is to pay ungodly sums of money to noobs. If you have some skillpoints left, learn medic, and head to C-Net. All the folks in the med center will learn off you (If you bribe them).

Its a really crappy way to get the AP, but hey, you're on Bloodfin.

Either that, or shanghai one of your guildmates into learning Ranged 1 over and over again. Hell, if they're a melee and have 17 skillpoints left, I'm sure that they have scads of Combat XP

Thanks for ponting out that having to train up skills completely opposite of what im trying to gain AP for is also rediculous.

What the devs would say:

"That's why everyone has 250 skill points to spend on different skills!"

Yep, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that you need to train people in Medic or Scout skills, when you actually need the apprentice experience to learn Master Pistoleer.

See, the original concept wasn't that bad. You group with other players, who share the same interests as you, and you all teach each other as you go along. Unfortunately, the devs killed that horse when they made buffs and armor so ungodly powerful and allowed them to remain as such. The irony is, when you complain about how the old system doesn't work in today's game, they point to the dead horse and say "You're supposed to be riding the horse".

Vaelorns absolutely right. As odd as it sounds, the reason why getting AP is such a pain is because of how good buffs -> armour are.

There is a seemingly endless line of things in this game buffs effects negatively -_-

(I've heard a pretty interesting note on why it works this way. The originial hopper size was like 10x smaller, which would've made it a lot harder to get resources. Specifically, it would be a LOT harder to stock up on uber resourcesthat'll last forever every time it spawns. But the hopper size was bugged, and when they fixed it, players whined their asses off. Without large amounts of uber resources, buffs wouldn't be this way. It's a pretty interesting cause-and-effect of an MMORPG, and it makes sense aswell)

And combat xp is even getting scarce with the FS xp train in system...

Its tough, but interaction, and help from friends is about the only way...Ive had to do the Range Support 1 thing several times...

Scout experience is also a pretty good way to get apprentice experience. For example, a Bounty Hunter goes out to harvest a bunch of creature resources, and sooner or later, he ends up with a ton of scout experience banked. Since he doesn't really *need* the hunting line (and he may not have the skill points available for it either) he won't be spending that scout experience any time soon, so you could train him in Hunting 1 over and over, the same way people do Ranged Support 1. Or, someone who takes Scout and Exploration 1 just for the terrain navigation (popular with melee types) will get a lot of scout experience saved up, and you can just teach them Exploration 1 over and over; they'll have the skill points free for it, because all along they've included it in their build, and once you get done training away all of their saved experience, they'll end up with the box that they had at the beginning.
