No one can figure out HOW you get the cert for this weapon. Non-Marksman have it, non-Imperials have it, non-Humans have it, people who have negative RSF faction have it, people who didn't start on Naboo have it. Some people don't have it.
I've asked the Devs to explain how you get the cert and have asked them to put the cert on the Pistoleer tree. So far no response.

Here's the stats on the Republic Blaster I just had made for me on sunrunner.
62-267 with modifiers 0/-3/0 (0 to accuracy at 64m ha!) AP1 energy damage.
I know I'll probably get flamed for what I'm about to say but please hear me out. The accuracy mod for max range absolutely has to change. I'm a riflemen, our Laser Rifle is -50 @ 64m.A pistol should in no way be that much more accurate at max range than a rifle. A rifle is made to be a long range weapon. By the same token a rifle shouldn't have those same mods at minimum range. I wouldn't support making the T21 a +0 at 0m nor would I expect you guys to support it either.
I know you guys also havea number of issues with your class. Just like all of us do. So there will be some who will think that this weapon is deserved as is. But this weapon clearly infringes on the realm of the rifle. So I'm asking for some support in getting this brought back in line with other pistols.

I bet it's like +25 at ideal range which is 60m? Or was it 50m?
I play a rifleman too. You're doing what we call selective stat analysis. You can get +25 (or whatever the value is for laser rifle) at "long" range.
I'd give up on the 0 to 64m if I can get some decent bonuses to ideal range. If you're going to cry nerf at least give us some decent ideal range bonuses. I hate you.
Laser is +21 at 60m but -50 at 64m. At minimum it's a -80. Plot it as a curve on graph. Overall the Blaster has much better accuracy mods than any weapon. I agree that the ideal on the Blaster needs to be raised. How can any weapon have it's lowest accuracy at IDEAL range? That's a contradiction and makes no sense.
In my post I said change the range mods to put it more in line with other pistols. That would mean a bonus at ideal, leave the min alone probably, but give a hefty negative at extreme. That's all I'm saying should be done.

I can tell you that the faction theory is bogus. I have a character on Intrepid that has never done anything for either imperial or rebel and has the cert.
The cert is messed up. The developers need to fix the database and this particular item is being strung along for some reason...its like the carrot in front of the rabbit...keep us playing with our cruddy weapon until we rejoice at our savior for bringing us this golden trinket. I for one am getting tired of this...if a patch message says something is fixed, it should reflect that message. Anything contradictory to that message is just a flat out lie.
These mistakes are rookie database programmer mistakes, and would be unacceptable by my company, as I would assume they would be by someplace like SOE. Its just so disappointing to think that this kind of thing slips by six months after release ![]()
