But, you're forgetting to take into account that they're light armor piercing. What this means:

Let's say you're fighting something with no armor... say, a crystal snake fromYavin.Let's say it has 20% resists to both heat and energy, the damage types of the FWG5 and the RB. Your krayt gun has 360 damage, as opposed to the original poster who has 358 max damage. THEN, take into consideration the light armor bonus, which gives you 25 - 50% EXTRA damage if you use a gun that's light AP.

Which gun would you use now? If you still say FWG5, that's your prerogative, but I wouldn't choose to use an inferior gun when I have one available that would be better for that particular fight.

And frankly, 358 damage for a pistol is just fantastic anyway, no matter HOW you look at it. I love my "turkey baster" just as much as I love my FWG5.

Wow thats either a bunch of BS or your just don't have your stuff strait. I purchased a 80-322 1.2 speed without any powerups and find it very hard to believe you have 10 (at least 10 identical ones) because they most likely would not have all gotten the same slice. Anyway when I put a %36 damage powerup on mine it gets something like 105 added to maximum damage bringing the damage to around 427.By my calculations your FWG5's would get an added max damage of around 140, so you would be doing over 500 damage with that gun. So either your lying to impress people or you just read your gun wrong.

Errr, FWG5's do get that good. On the Bria server, i bought a 100-260 FWG5 for only 10k. It also had a speed of 1.3. With a power up, i cant get around 360. I am a novie pistoler and i get about 500 dmg, plus 650 per bleed.

my old FWG5 is 1.5 164-367 i think and it has a power slice on it

pack a powerup on that biotch and i fly through bodys

207 base damage republic, plus 122 max tissues, 329, 33% damage slice, 437 max, 33% powerups to 581 max

ohhhhhhh no, i will stick with my fwg5 thanks .4 speed 500+ max damage with powerup

the republic blaster is ugly. seriously one of the worst skins for any weapon ive ever seen in a game. most of the cheap squirt guns i see in grocery stores have better design.
