Keep your armor on, trust me

they HURT really bad through 6000 battle armor. that armor keeps you alive if the snare fails/misses wears off.

make sure you have medic to.

I find that spamming disarm and keeping your distance works wonders, though it takes a while to do enough damage. I'd say your best bet to go through them quickly is bring a rifleman buddy who can do the damage while you do the debuffing and disarming.

very true, but everyone lags/screws up just a tad every once in a while, and armor lets you recover from it, armorless, you can easily get killed, even if you bring a rifleman (who will get the agro) the gorax uses aoe attacks quite frequently.

You can find them in the Northern desert on Endor.

If you want to find these things, leave the smugglers outpost on Endor and fly north into the desert, you can see it on the CTRL+V map.

Use a macro like this:

HuntGorax
/tar gorax
/pause 1
/macro HuntGorax

Then just swoop about, the south eastern corner of the desert, above the POI there is a good area for them, but they can spawn all over the place up there.

I use the CM debuffs to kill them, Paralyze then Electrolyte Drain, warning shot, stopping shot, fire, poison and spam damage at them.

If I have to reapply the drain I use warning shot/stopping shot then run in and stick it back on.

Gorax range from 30k health to the big ones at 37.5k.

You can also turn the con on your radar. If you are level 80, they will be the only aggro (red dot) in the desert that cons yellow (yellow ring around the dot). If you increase the range of your radar you can spot them pretty far off.

I found that the macro will target them after you have flown out of radar radius so it is very useful.

shhhh man. give away all my secrets

if you are looking for just one shard for a gun, then these tips are all you need, if you hunt gorax for a living, or when your mark isn't online, like me, then It would behoove you to use the target macro. I use this one.

macro name DIE

/target gorax

/macro DIE

target your bike and fly criss cross the desert, if you bike ever untargets, that means that your macro pickes up a gorax, if only for a sec, soemtimes it's up to 500m behind you, and it only flickers for a breif second. turn around and go back.

also right befor you attack, type /waypoint with the gorax targeted. after the kill renamed th wp with a code for date and time, along with any loot. if I killed one on the 8 at 10:30 pm est and got a delicate trigger assem, it would look like this.

82030dta start tracking the spawn on your server and what loot they drop, you will see patterns. I actually drive by gorax becuase my research shows tha I havea 95% chance of wasting my time on a gorax spawned in that particualr area.

ok I killed 23 gorax today.

I have been keeping wp's of the gorax I kill, and I plot the looking for patterns. yea I know I am weird.

3 drops of bones

74 max -.56 x 3

66 max -.71 x 4 <---- the second best speed ones I have ever looted

181 max -.37 x 3 speed sucks but damage is awesome.

4 drops of delicate trigger assemblies.

3 single drops, and a double drop.

my wp's on the map look like a solid circle with a incomplete outer ring.

Badge if you want the raw data and my analysis I will pm you the analysis and email the wp's to you if you send me name of a char on valcyn, with the understanding that this is propietary guild information, and needs to saty off the public forums.

I did not create a new wp if there wasa previous one within 50m.

edited for the worste grammer I hvae seen in a long time. sucks its my own post.

aye, same here. I keep all my wp's of gorax, and numbered them so. In a round of Gorax wp1-> Gorax wp29 I have at least 4 kills, and depending if any loot (the corpse disapears from the galaxy) i usually find i get more spawns. Ill have to try the macro but i dont expect it to do much.... i run my radar out at 300(and something) and use the con tactic. headed out today to get some nice bones, ill update on all loot I get

my thing is that they spawn up to 500m behind me, and my radar won't pick that up. It's my end though.
