aye but thats easily avoidable, most pvp takes place within 50m anywayz.

and it's very accurate at short range too

Got to remember, this screenshot was taken on TC, so if it's a player created weapon, the components used will be NO WHERE near as effective as the components weaponsmiths use on live servers.
So, you can expect the stats to dramatically increase from what they are in this screenshot. I don't believe this weapon should be used as a base value for the general effectiveness of the weapon.
In this screenshot though, note, it has no creater. Therefor it is a loot drop. And you know what loot drops are like, couple of examples:
scout loot drop: 4.7 35-70 (around about)
fwg5: 3.8 69-90 (around about)
So as soon as a weaponsmith gets the schematic (through the geonosian quest being added) the stats will be far greater then what we see in this screenshot.
So, overall, i can't wait to use this weapon

yes but we also see this as a looted one....Were hoping the ones made by weaponsmiths are much better (and should be)

Am i the only one who thinks you didn't read what i posted?
Tangle pistols are made with the best possible resources and are still only the same as this pistol, this geonosian screenshot we've got is a loot drop, this means that the schematic of the weapon will be FAR superior to the looted weapon.
So, i estimate stats of around 100-300 with about 2.4 speed.

i think most imperial pistoleers will respec before anyone even makes this
getting fined everytime you whip it out is gonna be a joke

it ought to be better than a tangle. You need pistol techniques 2 to use it after all. Then again, how much better is a dx2 you get at novice than those you get as a marksman?

Yea I agree it will be better than a tangle. But 100-300 damage I doubt it would "unbalance" the game.

Yep, better than a tangle. But look at the "Pistols Techniques II" requirement.. this means they're gonna add MORE guns!

Ahem, I'm a weaponsmith on TC. Now, of course, I only do melee weapons, but a number of the items I make are as good or better than you'll find on live. I'm getting close to 12 experimentation points and I've got mostly really great materials. TC has something like 8-12 master weaponsmiths I believe. We can make some pretty good stuff. =-)
That said, the gun was looted. We haven't found a schematic. We have explored the entire Genosian caves and done in the boss at the end (Acklay). Hopefully we just have to kill Acklay a few more times to see some more drops.
