Don't really look at it like being "jedi crap". I look at it as a way to further your skills after you master a profession. Picking up some of the extra skills in fs can be very helpful and cost relativly low in skill points. I have no interest in making my character jedi but to only enhance what he already has(picking up ranged/melee defence, and ranged speed and accuracy) Plus it is also fun to actually have something to do with your experience again. (I havent recieved xp in months untill now)
Now saying that SOE is punishing you because you are not interested in something is down right silly. You could say that for everything. Im not interestedin the DWB but want a DE-10 so I get punished for it. I could go on and on.
Dont look at the village asa jedi only thing. There are someprettycool quests there. Hell, I'll being doing all of the different quest thatI can do throughout thevillage cycles.Getting skills this way is alot more excessable then buying skill tapes that can cost millions.

Understatement of the thread right there.
Master carbineer w/o bounty carbines comes in at +60 carbine speed. Even maxxing on tapes up to +85 will require a carbine with a speed less than 2.8s to hit the speed cap on all specials. For those unfamiliar with carbines, to geta laser carbine down that far without a speed slice or speed powerup requires good krayt tissue and a form-fitted stock.
Compare that to pistoleer. With just +16 in pistol speed attachments, I'm just coming off the speed cap with my slowest pistols (2.9s DE-10 and geo) on my slowest specials (last ditch and stopping shot).
It could always be worse. We could be carbineers.

Carbines aren't capped, Rifles aren't capped (But close), Commandos are FAR from capped. Watch the blanket statements. Carbines can cap by going up the BH tree(sound familiar?), and rifleman can cap by mastering marksman. Commandos are just stuck where they are.

Yeah i agree with this guy, the only profs that are capped at master are fencers and tka's. Swords need and extra 20, rifle +7, pistoleer +20 or so, carb +25 i believe, pike +25 i think too. Your best bet right now is to either buy a pre-nerf ubese badnolier, ubese shirt, or mabari belkt with pistol speed already in it. Well actually your best bet would be to get the +12 ranged speed from the FS quests at the village.
fine id like to restate the post-
i would like to be able to use my specials without having to get a pistol with 1.2 speed, i do not wish to completly max out on pistols.i would just like to have it a little better then it is now that could match... lets say a rifleman speed wise. im just talking speed, every one knows the damage rifleman has is rediculasly high and needs to be lowered.
on the whole "buy armor and/or clothing attachments" subject i would just like to say i dont think its right to spend a ton of money on something that should be there already for free.
