Another tip is to bring a rifleman friend. Pistoleers don't stand a chance against these guys.

I know alot of guys wantto try and do the math on what tissues they want to use, or how good that yellow barrel was, this might help.
I actually dont know what the percentage on my DE-10s arebut the base stats with base(-.3 speed +30 max damage) krayt tissueseem to be about3.8 142-295. This is on kettemoor though.

I'm a Master Pistoleer with BH Pistols III. I can solo the Thugs and Henchmen. You need to be buffed and armored, obviously, but they aren't that much more of a challenge than a Dark Trooper or a Ravenous Torton (14k HAM).

Rifleman? you dont need no stinking rifleman. Pistoleers are more than capable of taking these guys down. If you have BH pistols 3 it is actually VERY VERY easy.

I don't see why people think that Pistoleers can't handle their own. I sure do. I have taken on Nightsister Spellweavers by myself with only MBH/Pistol Tech 3 working on Master Pistoleer.Just got to know how to use your equipment and your skills.

It's random, of course. You could get it in ten minutes. You could get it in 10 hours. You may never get it.
I've sat in that room for almost two hours and looted nothing.
