To sum it up (and maybe add a little bit):

STUN (state effect): cuts ranged defense/melee defense ability (you can tell this is what is happenening when your combat window says "Player A shoots at Player B, but misses!")

INTIMIDATE (state effect): reduces damage output and negates secondary defense mods (Dodge, Block, and Counterattack)

BLIND (state effect): reduces accuracy and small ranged/melee defense penalty

If you have smuggler pistol, then you have unarmed stun 1, unarmed blind 1, and intimidate. You also have panic shot. This means you can delay, get in close and whack them with an intimidate/stun depending on what type of defense is being stack then run away to kite them. That little number next to their name is your accuracy modifier. Notice how it changes depending on your posture and whether or not your moving (and whether or not they are moving). /aim will increase this number by +15 I believe. This is your To-Hit number and helps determine your chance of hitting them.

Accuracy is crucial when dealing with high defenses. I've notices this whenI tried to hit people with my +95 pistol accuracy and immediately afterwards switched to unarmed combat with +205 accuracy. The pistol shot usually missed, but the TKA blows hit most of the time.


I found myself using the aim command more and more lately, and it works :smilehappy:I've even made an /aim; /lowBlow macro, which sticks about 60-70% of the time.


The only downside to using the /aim command is that you'll stop running for half a second, which makes it useless when kiting.

As people have been stating: state effects are your friend. On top of Stun and Intimidate, blind can really help you out as it reduces their accuracy, giving you more time to land some debuffing shots.

Also, any pistoleer with smuggler dirty fighting has a ranged stun - Last Ditch has a chance to stun the target everytime it lands
