Thread: Why have the devs made our coolest looking gun, the DE-10, a watered down version of the RB?

TKAs get a new VK, with high damage. Heat damage which is somewhat useless but at least it is something NEW they did not have before. We get.....crap, again. Have a heart devs.

Not sure about this weapon, but most weapons that come on TC have "place holder" stats. For example, the executioners hack initionally had the asme stast as a scythe. now, it is like a "baby scythe", slower, higher ham costs, less damage, but better accuracy.



Not sure if the stats on this are final. Also, meaning no offense, but I don't know if pistoleers are going to get this weapon. To the extent of my knowledge at this time, there is no cert for this weapon, so we don't know if it will be a pistoleer weapon, a marksman weapon, a smuggler weapon, a bounty hunter weapon, or even a Chef weapon!

Keep in mind, it could be the stats from a looted pistol or a badly crafted one. I think that many people here are overreacting. Those stats aren't set in stone and when some talented master weaponsmiths get their hands on that schematic I think we'll see some good things.



Oh yeah, it does stink that it's not an AP2 pistol.

acouple days ago in the TC notes, they said the new weapsons stats had been changed... since then i havent seen the new stats.. so lets hope they are better then they were before

From what I've heard, those are placeholder stats and the real stats haven't been patched in yet. The real DE-10 will be different.


As for JEST3R laying the smack down on the GCW thread, well, he specifically said:


"PLease take this through your profession forum, you will not find any profession specific support here.


This is for the GCW, not specific profession problems."


Which is a little strange, since there are hordes of "nerf this profession" posts there every day. Since the mods haven't locked it, I would respectfully disagree with him. I see where it's a gray area though. The call is really up to the moderators.

The latest reports on the stats was something like 130-230 @ 4.3 AP1 Energy. Of course we have no clue what kind of resources made this weapon, and whether or not the schematic could change before it goes live. Still, for a weapon to look so cool and then be no more useful that our current weapons is almost criminal. This thing looks soo sweet, that I think most of us just want some sort of justification so we can use it.

In due time friends, in due time. This pistol isnt amazing, but we will have to hold out. Soon we'll be dual wielding, and hopefully in the SE be given a new array of pistols, I mean the pistols we are given are laughable compared to what they really use in the Star Wars Universe. Just hold out guys, we've waited this long, whats a few more months?

Hey Randonb, How's bout making a thread with what kinda damage WE would like the gun to do. I don't know if this would make much difference but I don't think it would hurt. Oh and my vote would be for cold!

just a thought, have you ever consider that these pistols might be the Dual wields? Create the pistols, put em out to test em, then finish coding dual wield in?

Any pistol SHOULD be able to be a dual wield. This thing is just too damned slow!

Am I the only one that hates the look of the DE-10 and think's its totally out of place in a Star Wars game?


Give us a Bryar pistol, complete with charged shot, because this isn't Wild Wild West Online.
