Keep it.

I've got master pistoleer, and dirty fighting from smuggler, and I'm TKM. I've also got some Fencer skills for defence vs. states and to max out the dodge skill.

This is a pretty good combo as far as I can see, and some others I've met agree. It allows you to be a powerful force in PvE, and it gives you a nice combo of ranged and melee when in PvP. It really shines in the GCW. Most people when fighting in a large group ignore the master pistoleer and go for TKMs, CMs, and BHs or commandos first. This gives you a good opportunity to use your ranged tactics, get in close, and switch to TKM for a nice suprise.

And for mobs, you can kite one or two away with pistols, and if you're having trouble, you can switch to TKM and get the job done.

It works well. Hopefully, with the combat rebalance it'll get even better.

I only need the rifles line and carbines 4 so it shouldnt take too long. Anyone else think that if you have already mastered a profession it should be easier to redo?

of course... I was only kidding anyway .

I get a kick out of people dumping professions when there is a majopr combat overhaul on the horizon. No use in makimng anychanges till after that as Rifleman and swordman are gonna be nerfed all to hell with the current info and the pistoleer could end up the bext profession for all we know. I am waiting till after the dust settles and I can see whats happened.

Yeah I think that's what I'm gonna do. I'll wait it out, but as soon as it comes out, it better be good or else! LOL

I am dropping master gunfighter down to 0/4/0/3 and pick up the flame line in commando. Commando was a very fun profession

I have been using Pistols since opening day. Pistoleer was the only elite combat profession I wanted. I have Mastered Pistoleer twice, dropped down all the way to Novice once and am now somewhere in between where I feel comfortable.

After combat revamp, IF Pistoleer is still fubared, I am dropping it for good.

I abhor the image of slogging a rifle around on my avatar, or becoming EQ in Space with a sword or a huge pike. But I cannot be a pistoleer if things just will not be fixed.

Wait for the revamp and see what happens and pray, pray alot.

This is only the current system, who knows what will happen after the revamp.
There is only the hope that all of the professions will be balanced to become equal strength with difference accents.
Currently: Rifleman, Fencer, and Combat Medic, Doctor are the only PVP professions worth having.

Good point. I hate going on raids because I always lose faction. I never land a DB and I always get killed even with armor and buffs.
