you are retarded
plain and simple

seriously dude **edit** is your problem?
it's a starting proffession. plain on simple. having Master Marksmen makes you proffecient in the use of all ranged weapons and gives you the ability to give ranged support in a variety of combat situatons. Since you are like 9 years old I'll explain that for you. You can use pistols, rifles, and carbines effectively, not uber or 1337 ya noob cry baby, but effectively. You also getranged support skills. Have you ever used warning shot or suppression fire? They are great against MOB's. Master Marksmen is the first step into a much bigger world. Not the final step towards being 1337. God I hate you 1337 talking people. Noobs. Anyway...
Lets nowcontinue to talk about your idiocy. You say you don't care how much xp or skill box's something likeMaster Pistoleer takes.Hmm... lets think about this... logically..... unlike you... a guy (or gal), guy A,spends 40 hours training in pistol use, carbine use, rifle use, and in ranged support tactics. Lets say 10 hours each. Another guy, guy B, spends 80 hours just training in pistol. Who is going to be better in combat? Most likely the guy who uses pistol. Guy B. Let us now return to reality Snuffer. You are fighting a guy in PVP. You are master marksmen (guy A) , they are master pistoleer (guy B). At long range, you pull out your rifle and take some shots... hitB's mind bar a few times while he is running towards you. Bgets a little closer, you pull out your carbine and hit his action bar a few times. B get's real close up. A switches to pistol. B is hurting a little bit, but A (you = noob) are in for a world of pain. SinceB is the master of a more ADVANCED skill tree, and you are anoob cry baby, he whips out some special Pistoleer moves and smokes you like grandpa's canibus before church.
makes perfect sense to me.
the only reason you are posting this is because you got Master Marksmen in a week and thought you could own anything and anyone because your are 1337 or some **edit**, but a guy who was in beta and has been playing non-stop for a month smoked you in PVP because he is a master Pistoleer.
get over it cry baby
your wasting my time

I thought it was pretty amusing. His point, for those too uptight to get it, is that just because we can become a Master Pistoleer by name doesn't mean we are automaticly better than anyone else in the Galaxy with a pistol. It is only a name, as a lot of you dense people managed to point out about his argument.
Funny post man.
Bump because any logical person would have to agree. A Marksman should at least be more accurate than a Pistoleer

Seriously, they need to start a 1337 forum so you folks can discuss rediculous things like this all day.
Good laugh though....![]()
The name is just that, a name.
Marksman means that you're proficient in some kind of ranged weaponry. The title "Master" simply means that you've completed as much as you can without specializing in something.
And here I thougth this was meant to be a joke.
You people are sad.
You know...a lot of Pistoleers do master marksman. And a lot of pistoleers do take scout skills. So, while you have a lot tied up to get to BH, most of us have tied up almost as much as you have. Just because we have the option doesn't mean we haven't taken the same or similar skillset. One of you trolls said somewhere that you only got to master one profession...*sniffle* well you mastered 3. And since Pistoleer is an advanced profession, just as BH is, it is idiotic to try and use a "nerf pistoleer to be in line with marksman" type of argument.
What they should really do is Nerf BH so it will be in line with Squad Leader in power. Now that is a very accurate comparison since they take many of the same prereqs to reach. Pistoleer is obviously superior for a couple reasons all relating to economy: We use a single weapon type, cutting down on our costs. We use a single xp type, cutting down on our costs and need to switch weapons. We use less skillpoints and are obviously much smarter than you are when it comes to making such decisions. They HAD to put in BH terminals so you wouldn't just cry about taking a 217 point profession (and of course EVERYONE masters BH so EVERYONE uses 217 skill points.)
