I'm a master and have been hangin out in the Geo cave lately. Yesterday I was in there and there was a Master Rifleman there also, near the entrance. The spawns were fairly slow and everyone else was at the bottom of the cave, so it was just him and I. A crazed Geonosian would spawn and we would start spamming our favorite shots. I was using my best, fastest pistol and of course he was using his T-21. He was out damaging me 5 to one. When I solo these guys I get 5k xp per kill (sometimes more). With the Master Rifleman I would get just over 1000xp out of a possible 5k! And to top it off, I never got looting rights (of course). It's so pathetic. I'm not saying that Rifleman are over powered (well, they are too fast), I just want our DPS to match that of the other ranged elite. It sucked.
what gun did you use? since the Crazed Geo's are totaly vulenrable to Acid, using a Dx2 would be perfect
when i go to the caves, i lay down close to the entrance room prone, and spam fanshot, after while i get yelled at and called "damage stacker", and i only use my 212 max dmg 2.2s Dx2, its not even krayt, (only good 35% dmg slice) just fan shot with the best dmg type and u'll outdamage TKs, Rifleman, and so on.
btw Master Pistoleer gets a big boost to Pistol Speed, very important for this to work.
andwith a nice set of buffs, and a good Pistol, Master Pistoleer is by FAR the best BASE tamplate!!!
i'm now master Pistoleer, TK 4-4-0-4, and master other profs to find my holo. i never ever used my melee attacks, simply no need for it. so i dropped that line. i mastered BH, commando, Carbineer, (TK of-course) and now i'm doing rifle. IN all that, PISTOLEER is the most well rounded, and FUNNEST profession to play, by far.
when i had BH with it, it totaly Rocked!!, but even without BH, its still the best, i win 10 to 1 in pvp with any other profs. (well MBH +Pistoleers are kind of a Problem the eye shot, - 1 to start gives blind that screws everything) but all the rest, including rifleman, are not too much of effort. TK can hardly have the drop on me, and carbineer, is just target practice. Smuggler now has no grounds to stand on vs Pistoleer, since low blow almost never works, and panic only stops till next attack hits.
btw i found that a Stun Layered Helm will do wonders in keeping us alive!

Profession stacking should be taken out of the game. What I mean by this is that if you want to be a pistoleer, fencer, smuggler, and whatever else template you can think of,then so be it, but don't let any of their defences stack. A ranged dodge should not be the same as a melee dodge. Those should be two seperate things.
The advantages of training multiple combat professions should not be thestacking of defenses, but the ability to adapt to a combat situation using those professions. Right now, defense stacking is passive. You receive the bonus just because you have the skill. Your not actively using the skill which you get the bonus in, therefore it should not apply.

LowBlow is not Dizzy KD, just KD. A Master Pistoleer can't even take out a standard Nightsister because we can't do any real kinetic damage, we target health pool primarily and they heal. We do disgustingly less DPS than Rifleman and Carbiner. We shouldn't have to mix it up w/ BH or Smuggler to be effective (and that's slightly effective at best).

funny rifleman say thesame thing about nightsisters... we have no kinetic ability at all...striker pistol is till better then anything rifleman have for kinetic ^_^
