DX2 and power 5 are both AR1 if I am correct. DX2 having 4 PH should be more powerful than FWG5. But than again, the dev are incapable of resolving PH damage stacking problem. Also adding a *more powerful* feeder will also increase the damage for scatter and launcher pistol which is BH and commando weapon.


You will have more dabbler (right word to use ?) than intented if DX2 if not improved. My thought is to get away with feeder and rest remain. Least you have tissue and enhance weapon compoent to custom for. Sliced or not is all personal preference and should not be factor in.

As far as I know Scatter Pistols and Launcher pistols also have feed mechanisms and power handler components.


Yet, they nerfed the FWG without nefing those other pistols. Make sure this is not an oversight... I really don't like this change.

Your comparing a marksmen weapon to two weapons which cost 4 times more to use.


I understand your fustration, but the comparison is not a valid one.


It still boggles my mind that they do this without imporving the DX2.


Also, all pistoleers (and everyone but especially pistoleers as the DX2 is pretty much going to be the only AP gun).....Everyone needs to look at the experimentation changes on test.


Not going to get into a long detailed explanation on the experimentation changes, however, On test now experimentation now yields about half of what it used too, because it is now extreamly dependent on quality of resources (more so then before).


This effects pistoleers in a huge way because the DX2 is reliant on rare resources which often time spawn with crappy stats. In the next patch, should this change go live, the DX2 will suck alot more then it does now.


Not to mention all weapons made with less then 1000 Quality resources (which is every weapon) will see a small to drastic drop in over all damage and an increase in ham usage and delay after this patch.


IMO this nerf by far supercedes the FWG5 nerf. I suggest everyone go to that thread that philospher posted and voice your displeasure about this.

I even asked about the Republic Blaster in the Dev/Correspondent meeting on the TC. The answer was "yes, we know it doesn't work, it's on a "to do" list."


Basically like the other thousands of broken issues...


So..point being, at least we know they know.

btw Philospher. A bounty hunter is defined as someone who hunts people down for bountys. You are NOT an expert bounty hunter.

Everyone has the cert for the Republic Blaster, it's just that the cert doesn't work at all.



And glad to see they decided to nerf us. Good job on that. *thinks*



Umm, the umm... constantly breaking chat system is ummm... making Pistoleers too powerful so you should fix that.






Think that'll actually get them to fix it?

Hey tks pal! Truth is, I have no problem with most pistoleers. Its people who think by spending 92 skillpoints and 30-40 hours mastering pistoleeer you should be better then someone who spends 217 skillpoints and an upwards of 500 hours mastering bounty hunter. Let me post the definition for a pistoleer from the webster dictionary for you:


Main Entry: pis·tol·eer
Function: noun
Date: 1832
: one who is armed with a pistol


Now bounty hunter:


Main Entry: bounty hunter
Function: noun
Date: 1930
1 : one that tracks down and captures/kills outlaws for whom a reward is offered
2 : one that hunts predatory animals for the reward offered


A pistoleer is a guy with a pistol. A bounty hunter is a killer or capturer of people. Explain why Pistoleer should be better.

Hey there


The short version:


This pistol and three other guns were fixed. The fix was that they could have two power supplies before, depending on the way its crafted. There were different rules that were stacking the modifiers. Those are all the details I have time for atm. I know you need more of an explanation, but I have to stay focused on getting the Player Correspondent program up and running.

If having 2 power suppliers is the issue, then the scatter pistol should also be looked at. It uses both the high velocity feeder mechanism as well as power handlers similar to the FWG5.

Sounds to me like scatter, launcher, and... hrm... Tangle? What's the other gun they are nerfing? Lord knows the Tangle does NOT need nerfing haha but I don't know if they count those stupid Control Units as a power source. Oh well, 3 most popular guns in the game are going to be a little less popular, and krayt tissue won't matter quite as much. Too bad they didn't listen to us about the real problems with drops and not weapons.

At least it is official now.


Actually the tangle will be improved because the feed mechanism experimentation is supposedly being fixed, but of course if we only get 4% instead of 7% per great success, everything will go down in quality... for sure there won't be any extra pts to go into ham or condition...well unless you have experimentation tape mods.


Once again loot will be more important than the skill of tracking, harvesting, and stockpiling resources and the time involved in that along with trying out combinations of materials for better results. Experience will fall victim to which smith has the best loot.
