ohhh idea's start popping into my head.

Naa I'd rather them fix the LLC. Again trying to combat a problem (broken LLC) with a kludge (use launcher pistol).

Besides I don't wanna get unarmed 4 and ANOTHER 40K combat xp. . . yuck.

I'm in the same boat as you guys. Broken weapons.

quote- "Of course to realize that out off all the ranged combat classes the Bounty Hunter is the only one to have a half working weapon cert (the scatter) at novice I can see your point and frustrations."

nice to see some intelligent discussion on these boards! i think we pistoleers wouldnt be so envious if our DX2 was in reality comparable to Scatter. from what i understand, some servers may not even have DX2s at all? and some are sub-par quality because of necessary resources not being present? i am lucky in that i have a fairly decent DX2. but the fact of the matter is, despite it being acid and AR1 and sliced, it doesnt do anywhere near the damage a Scatter does...

i dont think we need the Scatter cert in our tree necessarily, but we do need a comparable quality weapon. and we need to have some of our specials seriously looked at. no elite special should be less powerful than a novice special (BS2 & 3)

It's not the East or the West side (No it's not) It's not the North or the South side (No it's not) It's the Dark Side! (You are correct) You can't front on the Empire! To all you Vader-haters out there... We'll blow your planet up!

Before I figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up I was a carbineer for awhile. From the carbineer's perspective Legshot3 is worse than LS2 so they too feel your BS3 vs BS2 pain.

Hmm. If you haven't made it an issue you really need to make the DX2 a priority with the devs. Our LLC was very rare (they've only been made available on Intrepid once) but because of our voices (concerns, complaints, whines) the LLC is getting a revamp.

We made it one of our 5 priorities. It's getting it's damage increased AND it no longer required rare metals (regular plain steel vs cuberium steel) that means it'll be common AND because it'll use regular metal smiths will be able to use high quality metals and the stats will be even better.

At least that's the theory. All is still on the magical land of Test Center.

And for that matter, I have almost 300 posts, you have over 1000...I've been around since Beta, I don't know about you...when do we stop being New Members?

The DX2 suffers because it needs four identical parts in its construction but only gains the benefit of one. (that's what a Master Weaponsmith told me.)

Alrighty.. I totally agree that there needs to be more certs Period. Not for balancing or anything like that. The Scatter Pistol is the best pistol in the game. It has better HAM costs than a dx2, because of its components the scatter is faster and has a higher min/max damage, I am not saying pistoleers should get this pistol. I mean there needs to be some incentive to attaining the suck profession bounty hunter. But for the overall enjoyment of the game adding new weapons in their respective elite/hybrid professions would be great. I mean if you had a weapon cert at master bounty hunter You would cry less about dabblers (Wich I have NO idea why people even care if they "Dabble" in a profession. That's just silly.), and it would add reason to mastering a professions. This goes for ALL professions. A master cert for riflemen, carbineers, pisotleers, commados, TKA, Fencers, Swordsmen, Bounty Hunters. All of the combat professions. And for the weaponsmiths it would add new schematics to work for. More certs is just an overall gameplay enjoyment thing and has nothing to do with the grass on the other side.

If you kneel at the perfect range for your pistol (probably 19 - 20 meters) you should get a +25 - +35 bonus. If you go prone at the perfect range you should get a consistent +35 - +40.

I'm going to take a stab at the reasoning behind the vehement hatred of "dabblers" by a lot of Bounty Hunters. I think the general reason is that certain people are so rigidly intent on attaining Master Bounty Hunter that they feel threatened by other players mastering scout, and mastering marksman just to gain one weapon line in their profession. After all,why should the people who want Master Bounty Hunter have to waver fromthat goalso they mayget the same offensive bonuses that someone who mastered Pistoleer or Carbineer would get in their respective weapons, when those two professions can master their elite profession and dabble in the hybrid weapon line, too? That line of thinking may go on until Master Bounty Hunters would get something (a cert, a PC bounty system, a skill, an elite-elite expansion profession, etc.) so cool that they wouldn't care anymore.

By the way, something these "I hate dabblers" people almost always fail to mention- At Master Bounty Hunter, points are left over that can be used for medic. Medic is a useful thing to have. A Master Pistoleer or Master Carbineer that gets Bounty Pistol IV or Bounty Carbine IV will not have enough points remaining for this.

What, do you think they are going to put all the good pistol in the game from the start? Just be happy with what you have now, im sure better guns will come along in the future. Anyone play Everquest from the start? Remember when you had a short sword of ykesha and you thought you were the **edit**? Look at it now.

"Then the BHs and Commandos will have something new to complain about. " I would have to disagree. I am a commando and would never care about pistoleers using our gun. We are a heavy weapons class, pistol is there just to get us by until patch comes. Which should be soon, and we most likely won't even be using pistols.
