Ok, thanks for the info, but is there any pistoleer trees could be added that would help the dirty fighting tree to be more effective in pvp?

I'm in the need of some good ranged skills to help kitting in pvp. I only have enoughskill points left over to get one more elite ranged profession tree- from pistoleer or smuggler.. I have basically decided to go with either, Rogue or Trickshot. To help deal with this kitting issue during pvp, I've decided I needed some type of ranged knock down. I know the Smuggler's-dirty fighting tree(rogue) has low blow and that is suppose to be a ranged kd, but I'm not sure ifPistoleer's-(trickshot) treehas a ranged knock down at all.. does it? Is stopping shot a kd? My main reason for getting a ranged skill is for a ranged kd of some type, but having other valuable skills in the same tree might be more benifical than simply having an entire profession tree just for a ranged kd. I just need opinons on which skill tree I should go and why? Any benifits one skills tree has over another would also be good to know. thanks alot.

First off what skills do you have? Here is my guess at whatskills you have (i wanna see how close i am here actually, lol ) Brawler 4000, Marksman 0400, Scout 2020, Master CH, Master TK, with 23 left over SP. if you have these stats, actually the Dirty Fighting Line is gonna be your best bet. Low Blow will help with kiters. Not to mention if you use Low Blow then Panic Shot and hit with a dizzy your foe is down for 10 seconds. plenty of time to get the kill.

My skills right now are: TKM, Master Medic, Scout 4-4-4-3, Brawler 4-0-0-0

I'm always changing professions, but once I get settled down some, I will have enough skill pts left for something like- TKM, Master Medic, Doc 0-4-3-0, Brawler 4-0-0-0, Marksman 0-4-0-0, and an elite tree(pistoleer, smuggler, carbinier)

Don't listen to the people telling you to get rogue first. The real answer is which one gets you more exp in the end. Heres an easy thought..You grind the DF line. Then you have to grind the trickshot line. And around the same speed might I add. Then the rest is easy. Lets turn this in fake numbers, rogue=2 days. trick shot=2 days. Thats 4 days of working. Lets change it to trickshot first. OMG, you get FANSHOT!! Grab a tank, as fast as you can. Trickshot=2 days, rogue=1 day. OMG, you got both lines faster by getting trickshot. And the faster you get other skills, the faster you be to being ready for PvP.

I can see you going Doctor with TKAM for buffs. Why all that scout? Traps make you do less damage over time, except for the snare is thats what you are keeping. Why survival 3? Camps are ok to some extent. Unless you want to forage. Unless you dont want doc for the buffs, why master med? You are a TKAM, your wounds heal fast and its FREE!! I would keep the pharm and first aid line at the most. Wouldnt it be easier to be pistoleer/smuggler/master TKA/terrain nego. scout/some medic? Same results. Its nota flame, i just dont see why you have so much scout and med (unless its for buffs)

Since he only wants one line of skills, grinding up Trickshot to get Rogue faster wouldn't fulfill the goals he laid out for us.

And I'd disagree that Fan Shot would get you better XP, anyway. Feigning Death after applying two bleed shots is a great way to get XP, and with Low Blow and Panic Shot sitting there at low levels, you get two great skills fairly quickly. Double Tap and Disarm Shot are both garbage, and that's what you have to grind past to get the sloooooooooow Stopping Shot and only slightly faster Fan Shot, which can get you into trouble if you don't use it properly.

Plus, not everybody uses a pet tank. Especially with the CL shanges, pet tanks will thankfully not be so prevalent anymore.

Rogue is THE way to go. No other pistol skills can save your life as much as the ones in Dirty Fighting.

Well, the reason for all the scout is simply because my holo said to master scout.. I know not alot of people give a **edit** about what holos tell you to master, but I'm at the point in this game when I have nothing else better to do. I will only have the skill points left for one elite professions tree. If I decide not to get doc back again for the ability to buff myself, then I will be able to get more skills(ranged or melee) but as of now I will only be able to get one elite tree.
