A great way to mix getting xp with raking in the cash is janta/mokk/dantari missions on Dantooine. The XP probably isnt as great as creatures due to them being NPCs, therefore the lair doesnt spawn. But each lair has either 4 or 5 NPCs, and each gives around 4 to 5k XP per kill. As above, equip an FWG5 (they have high heat vuln), get buffed and brandied, join a large group to be able to "see" the missions on the terminal, and spam pointblank area1 at them. It's maybe 4 minutes per lair, and about 17-21k XP per time. But the killer reason to do them is the cash. 27k credits normally, up to 31k from an "improved job market" town terminal. As master slicer, I sliced them too and often managed to get easy missions with a 46k credits payout if I was lucky....

Sticking put for a few hours and it's easy to make a million, while grinding pistols. For pure XP, Sharnaff missions on corellia are great, but again you need to be in a group of at least 5 to be able to "see" them on the terminals. Each animal gives about 4k xp andis easy to beat using a fast scout pistol. About 12 animals per lair will get you 48k XP fast, meaning about 30 missions per tree of Pistoleer....nice and fast

Um, I'm going to keep it even simpler than this. The people who know me know I've been a pistoleer forever and a day, and there's a way easier way for grinding Pistol XP. You need a few items first:

A reliable Scout Blaster and CDEF pistol.

A couple "good" FWG5s. Not that featherweight crap. Something with some sort of an enhancement on it.

A crate of Vasarian Brandy (preferably 18-20 uses per in a 25 crate, and pay for the good stuff).

A crate of Ahrisa (make sure the filling is under 33 per use).

Pharmacology 4. Stim Ds.

A suit of good Kinetic Resist armor.

Buffs.

Shuttle fare to Dathomir.

The concept is simple. Baz Nitches have no armor and are vulnerable to heat. Grind garbage til you get to Pistols IV (chunkers, sleemos, anything that will still give you decent xp). When you get to pistols IV, grab all your gear, grab a ticket to Dath, and run Baz Nitch missions. The missions will more than cover what you're going to end up spending on all this gear and buffs every three hours. Once you're buffed, get your missions (10k per is nice), get on your bike, and go kill Baz Nitches. At first it'll seem like you're getting worked a bit, but they're still 3k per 'Nitch and with all the buffs you'll be able to keep yourself alive. Once you get to Novice Pistoleer, go up Tech and get Pistol Melee Defense as soon as humanly possible (if the poo hits the fan, make sure you can get out of there quick while it's still on the ground). At 3k per 'Nitch, 6 'Nitches per lair, plus the 3k for the lair, it'll take you 6 sets of missions to get to Novice Pistoleer (which if you know how to fight) can be done in 2 hours or less. Once you start getting higher up, the xp will get better (in the 4k-5k range), and the buffs will last you longer cause you'll kill 'Nitches quicker. With Tech 4, Pistol Whip, and 2 boxes of Accuracy, you should be able to manage 150k an hour (+/- depending on your ability to keep yourself alive).

At the beginning levels, Nitches will hit you hard. Do not overspam. The beauty of pistols is their speed. Use it to your advantage. Spam only what you can and keep and eye on your health. Moving around helps, but with normal 10k buffs (including the mind food!), decent armor, and a crate of stim Ds, you can tank 2 Baz Nitches unless you're completely hopeless. Just keep in mind one simple rule, though. If you're getting stomped, there is no dishonor in running away. If the situation gets too hot for you to handle, burst run is your friend. Your buffs will heal you fast enough and then you can go back in and finish the job.

Now mind you all the other creatures on his list are nice and all, but why pass up the easiest answer? With vigilance, you should be able to finish all of Pistoleer in two days (individual results may vary due to availablity of Doctors, using pets, and the occasional death due to "you cannot heal this target" crap). In addition, you'll have plenty of cash and hide afterwards to move on to another profession.

from novice ->

get a speed sliced dx2

get buffs

go to dant

get quenker (normal) missions

aim at the lair, spam point blank area 1 until everything dead

lather, rinse, repeat

switch to a damage sliced once you've maxed out the speed tree

I grind Pistoleer w/o armor 90% of the time. However, I use Mid level CH pets as tanks and I wear Auken clothing for the bonuses.

At mid level Pistoleer you can hunt quenkers w/o armor as long as you're buffed with good brandy and have at least 2 pistoleer boxes of Dodge bonuses. Or you can just eat some Air Cake or Pikkata Pie which give Dodge bonuses.

Same here but I am master fencer/master brawler so I just needed brandy to drop some heals. I went pistol 1-4 killing lesser plains bols grouped with my trusty kaadu and it took a little over 2 hours. For all those melee fighters picking up a ranged prof to even the templet DON"T FORGET ABOUT Intimidate. This come in very handy when using ranged weapons as well. Warcry works also but not as well after the nerf.

I worked my way up the Pistol Techniques tree first, adding one box in Marksmanship along the way along with whatever Special Abilities boxes my combat exp allowed me to take, and as soon as I had Techniques fourI discovered an excellent way to Master pistoleer very quickly:

Faction farming.

Strap on your composite, get yourself a nice set of Doc and entertainer buffs, and a planet with a couple Rebel faction bases that go unwatched (or show up when not many people are online). With FanShot, you can solo ALL the Rebel NPCs coming at you at the same time and have the place cleared inside of 5 minutes. If you have two or more Rebel faction bases placed in decent proximity to each other, you can accrue a LOT of Pistol exp as well as a sizeable amount of faction very quickly. I filled in the Marksmanship tree, half of Tactics, and the third box of Special Abilities in one seven-four orgy of faction farming. I also earned about 7k faction for my time.

The only bad part wasmy BF skyrocketed, soI had to make constant trips to a cantina. Still, it was the fastest accrual of pistol weapons exp I had ever seen, and MAN was it hilarious watching a crowd of 30 NPC's chasing after me.

I used a speed sliced DX2 with a 33% speed powerup and just ran back and forth on a line, keeping 20m from my targeted Reb. Worked like a charm.

Another day of faction farming and I'll have Master once I accrue the AP points. Then I can finally get started with Combat Medic....

It's some rip in the space-time continuum that spawned a parallel universe in which Order 66 went horribly-wrong and thousands of Jedi babies got smuggled away like Luke to be raised elsewhere, and now they are all coming of age and making holy terrors of themselves on the normal population for having turned on them a generation ago.

Grab some piket missions on Dantooine. Largest payout for soloing (no group) and 3-4k xp per Piket. Three pop at a time - three spawns per lair. They also do no deathblow... farily easy kills.

Grab a speed sliced dx2 or geo blast and have fun... they're vuln to acid and stun

To add on to that last post. If you have novice BH, grab a scatter pistol and hit up those piket lairs. Not only will you be dealing a bit more damage per hit, you can also harvest the meat with your scouting skills. There is currently a guy on Bria buying the meat for 50cpu. With only two buffs, I was able to rack up close to a million in credits and about 700k in pistols xp.

I use too get two quenkers mission for about 5k each and spaming point blank area1 on the lair.

If you have descent kinetik armor and some doc buffs and vaserian brandy they don't even hurt you.

You can do this right after you get pistols 4.

Well I have found a nice little place to grind on endor. There are 11k missions for critters that begin with an H they are ape like. Well I get buffed and drunk and use ahrisa and I take 2 of these missions.

I have the whole pistol tree in BH thewholetech tree in pistoleer,so what I do is hit them each with a bleed and then a torso then spam fan shot on them till they die.I use my scatter pistol as they are vuln to acid.I usually get about 6-8 per lair for about 3.2k apiece and 4.1k for the lair. Its good xp they don't death blow and my ham doesn't move much at all.

I should be able to grind this spot and finish my pistoleer trees up pretty quick. My speed is pretty darn fast now so they go down pretty quickly. This are alot better then doing mokks or jantas on dant. There I was only getting about 4-5 per lair at 4k per plus about 2k for the lair but was getting 30k credits for the mission being in a solo group. But now with npc's having specials they do way more damage on me then do the endor critters.
