Group up.....I grouped with 6 people yesterday. 1 smuggler, 2 MCH, Me (was 3/4/4/3 pistoleer and after grouping i got master), 1 novice BH...and a master marksman. We did missions 2 per person after the 12 missions were done...with some side hunting I had earned approximatly 600k XP. Fan shot vs. Mountain Squills will get you far!

also did u just use regular attack? I have novice pistoller 0-0-0-1 and got dirty fighting 1. What attacks did u use

if u have the dF line started... Use FD...

Bleed em and crack em once with yer blaster and FD... it takes alot of time tho..

The Ubese/Buff is the best angle...

do all u can to get Fanshot... it will allow u to get mass xp on AOE spams. .. better to use it with a pet tho...

Allex i tired it, my armor is marabiri, those lil guys wasted my mind, and i found if i used health shot 2 and then 1 it did less bleed dmg than just doing health shot 2. My mind got wasted!!!!!!!! Your simple 4 steps are not as easy as they sound lol

Mabari armor just won't cut it. In my original post I stated you needed to get 70+% kinetic Ubese armor, anything less and you will die. Get a mind buff, or buy mind buffing foods, then get a stat buff from a master doctor. After that, just go to the lairs kneel and start picking off the mobs. With a buff you don't even have to worry about move costs, so I doublestack healthshots 1 and 2, then spam bodyshot2 until they fall. Not hard at all really, just have to pay attention to your mind pool and be ready to make a fast get away if you get ganked by a large group.

What about for the poor weak Wookiee. Thank you SOE for making Wookiees the weakest combat class.

Also, I recommend only using your armor when you have to, and not wearing it all the time.

I travel with a set of 72% ubese, 2 crates of Tat Sunburn and 2 crates of nice stim-b's. That will get you thru the entire pistoleer tree if you're smart about it.

If you haven't done so already, put all your armor on 1 quick bar and make a macro that will equip/unequip at the press of a (panic button) key. I also keep my chef food on the same bar.

My preferred method is to go to yavin, find Stranded Imp/Reb NPC's (of course, you need to be factioned one way or the other and I do this cuz I dont have any creature handler skills) and pull nearby anglers/mawgax/tibis/klickniks into them.... they make great tanks I avg about 600-750k a day doing this.

and once you get fanshot it's like shooting fish in a barrel. I started the pistoleer grind (hah... hardly a grind) 5 days ago and I'm 2/4/4/3 and should master tomorrow.

My Solution

Step 1: Goto Dath

Step 2: Get Giant Baz Nitch (spelling?) Mission... Giant

Step 3: 2 at a time bleed/kill for 6 total, Each give around 4K Pistol. Lair give 5K Pistol

Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3.

Enjoy.

PS collect the meat, good for grinders. The Giants don't bleed/poison or anything else nasty, so make sure you hit them.

Keep a variety of weapons. I always go out with a gun that will deal Heat (FWG5), Acid (DX2) and Blast (Scout, Republic). That way you can maximise the damage you deal on opponents.

I mastered pistoleer on Dantooine, hunting pikets at first (with the aid of a pet) and upgrading to Huurton Stalkers, Huntresses and the high-end Voritors. Once you get Fanshot you find the XP racks up fast since you can take on several mobs at once, with comparitive ease. Once you get close to Master you can make 100k xp in a matter of minutes - especially with a good gun and some light weight, high-kinetic ubese armour.

I say this to a lot of people - Warning shot. Get bleeds off first them keep the mobs at a distance with warning shot. Some people say to just bleed and keep the agro off by staying at a distance.... don't - it's too slow, just know how to keep them away from melee range - warning shot and PistolMeleeDefense1 do this beautifully. Then just rely on your powerful attacks to take them down - Double tap and later on stopping shot. Fanshot, I believe, deals better dps than stopping shot on single targets, before you reach master.

Experiment with mobs, work out which ones you can take down the fastest. I always found it faster to hunt with a CH or to be a CH when I was a novice, but whatever works.

Niiice, however I REALLY don't take to liking the idea is relieing on being buffed for a meer 15 mins(even less due to travling times). Maby like you said dark if i get some ubese, and keep my mind up ill be set. What kinda stuff buffs mine like food or muon gold?? I already staretd to rasie scouting exp so i can fall back to getting a creature to meat tank

Dr buffs last for like 2 hours.
