What really pisses me off is all the little nerfs and undocumented changes they put in patches. I wouldn't be half as mad than if they *told* us about it! Why *not* put it in the Patch Notes? So we can't start complaining about their completely senseless actions beforehand?
I'm not a grinder at all. It took me forever to get a Pistol Box, and I chose that one cause I wanted to be able to destroy lairs faster. There goes that 2 weeks at Novie Pistoleer. Thanks a ton!

I know why they nerfed it!
Its to balance BH's since they will have all those extra points to spend, the ability to kill lairs and vehicles more quickly would put them over they top once they are Master Pistoleer as well.
When I heard about the reduction in point cost I wanted to cry, not in a good way...
but then I also heard that all BH weapons will be condensed into a single "special weapon" column to make room for other lines like human traps and whatnot, and so they wont stack with other elite combat classes.

Out of curiousity, was it ever stated that Disarming Shot was ever intended to do double damage to lairs?

It wasn't, but that was disarming shot's only positive. They basically broke something that wasn't working as intended, but which was better than having a special that does nothing at all. Anyway, I pray this is just a bug, and that it will be fixed soon.....

the above poster is exactly right...it doesn't matter a heap of steaming feces if disarm2 was ever INTENDED to do double lair damage...what matters is this: if they had time to nerf it, they had time to fix it, and they chose not to...

I'm 100% sure it relates to the changes for lightsabers, since at one point sabers were not dealing damage to lairs at all.

I swear, if they remove 48 skill points worth of requirements from bounty hunters, including the TRAPPING line and then give bounty hunters TRAPS, I might just kill everyone.
