Thread: What BH pistol skill has Pistoleers panties in a bunch?
I dont get this.
You guys keep saying that a Pistoleer in a Pistol fight should beat a BH every time. I rarley use just one weap in a fight.
In fact the best skills are mostly Carbine ones even though they got nerfed.
So which SKILL in our pistol tree are you refereing to?
Mind shot?
Torso shot?
Bleeding shot?
We dont have an area knockdown or a knockdown at all with pistol.

But that's just me. The most common point of contention I've seen is the fact that a BH fills 4 pistol squares and ends up with about the same speed and accuracy as a Master Pisoleer that fills all 18 squares in Pistoleer.
Is it a valid argument? Well... that's a huge issue. I'd say that *IF* the pistoleer defensive skills worked, and our special shots (especially BS3, which is our only pool targetted shot) were more useful (some are already quite good though), that no, it wouldn't be valid - that were were both strong, but had different strengths. At the moment though I can certainly understand the gripes becaus we're not getting much else from our lines, and BH gets everything - similar accuracy and speed, PLUS a better health pool shot, PLUS the only pistoleer mind pool shot - except for a KD, although they get KDs from their carbine line.
But like with so many other things in the game right now, I think we need to first sit back and wait for things to be fixed before real comparisons can be made. And if pistoleer ends up that weak that some folks aren't happy with it... surrender skill is always a viable option
I like pistoleer and hope to keep it, but if things change for the worse, the system provides a lot of flexibility and avenues for change.
Ok but what about all the skill points that we HAD to spend.
I know that the Pistoleers do not consider the Scout skills to be very valualbe in a combat settting and I couldnt agree more, However, WE HAD TO GET THEM.
This is a HUGE disadvantage. I can only spend 18sk in Medic now. I have maxed out all of my Skill points.
Shouldnt we get compensated for that? Or do you think we should just be inferrior to all people who specialize in a weapon?
As for Eyeshot its something unique for BH. Its nice. The problem most Pistoleers seem to point to however is our Carbine skills which I find really funny.

Heh I never whine about Bounty Hunters. So you get four boxes of pistol skill. So what? We get 18. Bounty Hunter is just a different class with its own pros and cons. Most BH I've seen pick up pistoleer for the knockdown anyway. The game's not perfectly balanced yet but getting there. Don't assume everyone whines some people just enjoy the game and have no delusions of being uber-class.

First off I can only assume that you are responding to me and I would like to say that I am not screaming but I really would like to know.
Pistoleers were bitting at the chomp to be BH equals with a Pistol or so they claim. But I really dont think that was the issue.
Pistoleers were upset about our Carbine skills specifically those concerened with Knockdown. These have been Nerfed and I assure they will be nerfed again and agin till they are totatly useless.
Pistoleers can more than standup to a BH espically a retarded one that only sticks to using a Pistol ( I have never seen this personaly ).
Does this make you happy?
I suspect NOT because as we both know BH usually win a fight between a Pistoleer and a BH because BH dont just use Pistols. We also use Carbines with Knockdown. This is the Pistoleers REAL beef.
Because how are they SUPPOSED to own BH if they cant get by that ranged Knockdown? Oh I know demand to have a ranged knockdown for thier OWN class.
This way they can own BH who use a Pistol and a BH who use a Carbine.

Now as for your question, none of the BH skills "get my panties in a bunch". If I felt they were worth it, I'd get them. If I didn't, then I won't, which is my current case.
But the thing is, like I said earlier, every Pistoleer is a different person, so everyone will have a different opinion. I've seen some complain about Eye Shot being able to deal Mind damage, I've seen complaints about Torso Shot being way better than BS3, and I've also seen complaints about the Pistol Tree bonuses being better than the full Pistoleer profession's bonuses. Personally I feel the huge costs of the profession make up for it, but hey, I'm just one voice in this heavily populated profession.
Barney what would you say if the devs made the Lightning Cannon do 3000 damage per shot with a delay of only 2.0s but moved Eye Shot up to Master BH and halved all the pistol bonues in the BH tree?
Would BH then own Pistoleers in PvP? Obviously yes.
Would Pistoleer be better with the pistol than BH? Obviously yes.
Currently it is not so obvious who is better with the pistol (if it was we wouldn't be having this conversation). So I would like to see Pistoleer's pistol ability boosted, but I don't want to see BH's nerfed in any way. I just want their power shuffled around in some way. So why every time we try to discuss Pistoleer Mastery do you come crying in about BH nerfs? They are totally unrelated.
This forum doesn't care half as much about BH's as you'd like to think.

ANSWER: Well, I for one am concerned with both. Pistol skill Vs Pistol skill and Pistoleer Vs BH because they blow everyone(including Commandos)else away in PVP regularly. The **edit** mind dmg is frustrating...but I'm more interested in seeing advanced pistoleer skills(bodyshot3 for example) improved and pistol certs spread more evenly up through Master Pistoleer. It's stupid to just have 1 pistol cert in the entire tree(and at Novice??).

ANSWER: What about it? Make it so we can target a pool(mind) that you can't heal or give us ranged knockdown, then we'll talk turkey. We don't ask to get awesome dmg and skills in rifle or carbine...simply pistols. BH's have good certs in all 3, don't tell me they should be able to stand in front of a pistoleer and kill themeverytime while holding a pistol themselves!

Thx for conveying your thoughts and carrying this forum. GOD only knows what we'd do without your supreme guidance. First off, why do you care if we consol each other? What about that makes you sick? Better question: Why do you care? Nothing better to do? And your last statement about the majority of "pistoleers" is to whine first contribute nothing....lmao!! Although I read through some of your posts, this last one has helped me decide just how worthless and trolling they are.
