Put 1 box in stances for some more speed...or 2 if you feel you need it..and the rest in techniques for the defenses

damnit lol, I was hoping that dodge was as sweet as it sounded. alas, no go.

so 0043 is the best choice then?

Allow me to reach out and help a Bounty Hunter...

I'd definitely start with 2 boxes of speed to max yourself out there(and get PistolMeleeDefense1, for a great, fast close-up KD).

Then it gets tricky. You already have good accuracy with Master BH, so there are two choices for defense:

  • Dodge is great now and is worth picking up to avoid attacks outright - as long as you equip a pistol. BS3 with MBH speed is finally better than BS2 (something thta only Master Pistoleers and BHs can get currently) and targets Health.

  • The state defenses sound nifty, but nobody is sure how effective they really are or how they're supposed to be working. They sound great in theory, though. Things like Disarm Shot1 and DoubleTap are trash, so climbing up only to the 2nd level of this line is not really worth it. Fan Shot at the 4th tier is a GREAT area of effect shot, just a bit tricky to use (you can aggro a lot of unwanted enemies if you aren't careful). Stopping Shot is good with BH speed, but is random HAM damage.

So do you want to Dodge shots outright and get a targeted Health attack, or be protected from state effects and get a nifty AOE attack? Those are your two options, really. If I were you . . . I don't know what I'd pick.

Good luck, and enjoy!

Yeah that sounds good...but you might only need 2 on the speed line to hit the speeed cap with any weapon. Im not sure though.

Dodge is almost too good. You can't run from something when you need to becasue you are too busy stopping to Dodge, allowing them to catch up, even while burst running. It gets very annoying.

0,0,3,4, is the way to go.

Dont forget he already has TorsoShot which targets health and is as powerful while also having a flame dot.

well bodyshot3 probobly doesent do half the dmg of torsoshot (I do about 1200 a sec with it with my kryat scatter)

so what would you recommend? Dodge line?

I plan on using my pistol all the time anyway, carbine blows and the LLC is to random for my taste.

so what one would you recommend?

How's the speed comparison on the two?

t might be better to fire a Torso Shot to get the DOT and then fire off BS3 if it's faster to do so.

But I don't have that kind of info.

Can we agree that the Speed modsand PistolMeleeDefense1 are the top priority, though?

I can already fire all my moves at 1 second with my current pistol so speed means little, but I did take 0002 for the KD/melee defence =)

Hmmm...

It just occurred to me that Marksmanship (the Accuracy line) gets you Accuracy While Moving bonuses.

This is going to come down to style.

  • If you like to run and shoot, then go for the Accuracy While Moving Mods, which allow you to get defensive bonuses from runningwithout hurting your own accuracy too much.

  • If you feel like you are getting hit too much in combat and want to avoid getting shot/pummeled, get Dodge, which works very well these days.

  • If you are eager to go serious damage to entire groups while enjoying better protections against state effects like Dizzy and KD, then the line with Fan Shot is the way to go.

But at the base of it all is Speed - the close-range KD is probably THE best move in the tree, and speed is always your friend.

Deffinatley get techniques 4...fanshot is just awsome when fighting mobs and the devense will help you out alot...since you dont get any as a bh. Then grab 3 on the speed tree so you can use slower pistols at the speed cap as well. ie tangle pistol against people using composite armor
