Well the holo said pistoleer so i went like a little bi^tch and did it

at 1st i hated the idea of being a pistoleer but grew to like it more and more.

When i was novice gunfighter i asked a lot of people and checked the forums to see

what tree would be best to get 1st almost 90% of the time i was told get fanshot!

Let me tell you its a waste of time Get up to stoping shot and then work on getting body hit 3

youll find that much more useful leveling up!

Just an opinion but i feel a valid one!

fanshot = waste of time: if & only if you're not smart enough to put yourself in a situation where it can rake in exp like leaves after thanksgiving.

but.... it's not your fault if you're not smart

fan shot is nice because you can attack multiple targets at once(at least i think you can) and besides, body shot 3 sucks, it does not enough for damage, if you can spam fan shot you'll be doing way more damage per second, and kill a target much faster than body shot will.

I got pistoleer for a holo do, im done with it now and surrendered it all, but fan shot, its awesome. I did savage quenker missions on dantooine and i could spam fanshot and in short time one quenker was dead and the other had 1/4 of his life and he just got hit with stopping shot and was down.

If used right, its the best special in pistoleer. Not to mention at master you can spam it FAST!

When you do a "describe" on fan shot it says" can hit a single target multiple times. But when I look at the combat tab it hits every one in the area....

Plus here lately when I am firing at someone point blank it will tell me that i have lost sight of my target.. when they are standing right in front of me.

Do not use Fan Shot if your facing a lair or you'll be in for trouble fast..but in general it is a awsone special if used wisley.. the first shot will hit one target the follow up shots will hit multiple targets.. = Exp overdose..but be warned any mob in the cone effect l that is hit will enter combat.. I got reamed by Quenker relic reapers and mokk's by not paying attention..

As a master pistoleer that has tested all the special shots I can honestly say you total wrong...

Fan shot IF you positioned right will hit only one target, but if your dumb enough to stand facing your target and seveal other mob's close by that haven't enguaged the fight then you totaly desrve to be attacked by those you have hit.... it is called combat intelligence.

Now Body shot yes it is handy at times BUT it is a totaly random ham attack one time it will nail health the next action or mind...and it never does cosistant damage it will even with a Kyrat weapon go between 10 and upwards of 2K.....

Let's see using a shot that can do upwards of 5K in one attack if you pay attention OR a 10 to 2K random..... Tough choice..I choose to live and the Fan shot will ensure that

in all honesty, for most situations, i prefer stopping shot over fan shot. the only case i use fan shot is if im goin for avian meat on lok. just spam it on the lair and the flits drop like flies. but im a smuggler also, so last ditch is my main solution for everything hehe

I always used fan shot for exp ......When there is 2+ creatures it becomes extreamly effective to use it....

Can someone tell me how they use fan shot for optimum performance!

I hunt pikets mostly and i find stacking bleeds while spamming stoping shot works well for me.

No you should only use fan shot if the lair is at your back, if you attack MOBS with fanshot while facing a lair you run the risk of spawning more Mob's that will insta agro you.

also be aware of the other mobs in the area because if they are hit by your fan shot they will enter combat as well..
