I'm the standard Master Pistoleer | Bounty Hunter Pistols 4 | Smuggler Pistols 4 | Novice Commando template. I want to go play with the Nightsisters. Does anybody have any recommendations for tactics? Specials, DoT's, Movement, "Pulling", Feign Death, etc. What's the toughest Nightsister we can solo? How do we do it? What weapons (and stats) were used?
Thanks in advance.

low blow, intimidate, HS1, HS2, Bleeding shot, spam torso shot till you have to FD or it is dead. I recommend making a macro to clear your combat que then FD.

Dont know much about BH but-
Some NS have a conspicuous vulnerability to heat. my 1.9 287 FWG in the spider cave is effective with HS2/1.
you have a defense problem though so I dont know how long you would last in there having never done your template - for that reason.
If you cant intimidate and/or stun and go toe to toe indifinately I think it will be dicey attempting anything higher then rangers alone.
Keep moving and stay at your weapons ideal range as long as you can.
They are often spread out just out of agro range so you can take them one at a time, however once you get the ham down they will walk away TWARD another patch of NS. So be aware of this, if you are as bad off as your enemy at this point you may want to let her go and rest up, she will come back.
If you let them swarm you they canquickly chop you down, If lower level then I'd DOT them all and use PBA1/2 alot and hope for the best. Fan shot if your situation will not risk more of them coming down on you. RememberFD because agianst NS, you will need it when swarmed.Any DOT along with the same pool specific special is going to be more efficient in the long run.
Protectors are about as high as I would care to go with any pistol template solo.
Although I don't think a pistol template can solo an Elder, If you are fighting one, consider using the LP for the blast damage.I use regular, quality damage slicedguns and light, +80% base Electric armorwith no stun vulnerabilities.

I have to agree its a tough fight, but FD, and waiting could be your biggest ally in that matchup...different NS's have different vulnerabilities...always try to keep up with who you are fighting..and of course taking on one at a time is much prefferred...
kneel or prone, do a healthshot, then back up about 60m and hopefully draw one at a time out.

I can do sentinels alone as a MP/Desperado. Just use torsohshot, bleedshot, HS2, HS1(my DOT stack
), peace, back off, and they run away from their little group, kill and rinse and repeat.
It gets a bit tedious, but with some bad luck, say, two sentinels instead of one and one of them lands a KD, I'm toast.
Important thing to remember is that your a ranged fighter, not a melee. Until they're about 50% down in HAM, don't let them get close enough to melee you, since that's when the risks come in.

Good advice, sometimes it's worth closing to melee range though if they're a rifleman. Unless they whip out a stun baton of course.

When you are pulling single Nightsisters, do you just keep running and running and running (kiting) away from your one target until it dies? Or are there better techniques?
I can go to Dantooine and grind credits with Mokk/Janta missions and make ~500k credits per hour. However, it's sooooo boring and the loot sucks. I don't even kill the NPC's anymore.I just Last Ditch the lair while running in a big circle. I rarely take any damage.
The reason for this thread is that I'm looking for something more exciting & challenging, but still make money. Are Nightsisters even worth hunting? What do they drop? Rare weapons? Crystals? Attachments? I know it only takes one good loot drop to make 500k. But is it likely to occur in anything but the most uber Nightsisters?
Thanks for all your input. I'll go tinker with the Nightsisters on my own at some point, but I'd rather be prepared before I do lest I get my ass kicked.

What special grants the Intimidated state? What does Intimidate grant specifically?

With your template, you get it. Intimidateis a Nov. Brawler skill. Lowers the damage output of your emimies' attack power, I think.

Ah. I thought it was something from a Pistol special.
Is a Brawler special wise to use on something like a Nightsister? For one thing, would you even hit with just mods from 4000 in Brawler? For another thing, I thought it was important for the Pistoleer to be on the move? And finally, switching weapons kinda stinks with the delay now. Would it be smart to take Novice TKA for this purpose? (I currently take Slicing 1 just for extra credits.)

Many people have suggested that Disarming shot should become intimidate for the pistoleer.

You can use it with any weapon equipped. It'll stick after you spam it a few times. You gotta be pretty close, though. Is it 10m? /shrug

I'm heading for the same skills as CaixCatab and that's what I would do. Once it's bleeding and burning, back off!!
