Thread: mega dabble or master?

ok guys heres the deal...i guess you can say i am a mega pistol dabbler right now so dont shoot me but i am a 0040 bh 0140 smuggler and 4000 pist. i was wondering if i should drop the smuggler line and pick up master pistoleer. i would have already done that but i like last ditch and low blow with my krayt scatter. just lend me your thoughts. thanks

master pistoleer, though i will never drop it, is not half as good as things that can be molded from it.


get the speed line, become 4004, that' my advice. maybe fanshot if youwant to.

thanks man but i only have enough sp for one tree in pistoleer with that template so...dodge or speed or master. but from what im reading about pistoleer, none of your specials work or as good as smugglers or bhs and a lot of the defenses are bugged

sWell I guess it depends on what you are trying to do with your character. Are you heavy into PVP or mainly PVE. If you're mainly PVP i would recommend my Pistol Template. Rogue, Expert Bounty Hunter, Pistoleer 0041 (Trick Shot). I found that without the Knock Down Defenese I get pwn3d by TKAs and, well, any Prof with a Knock Down. If your PVE, go with what you've got except drop the Dodge line for Novice Medic...And why do you have the first slicing box? Drop it.

I was doing the calculations and you can be:


Master Pistoleer

Commando 0-0-4-0 (scatter pistol and flame)

Smuggler 1-0-4-4 (pistol/spice)

TKA 4-0-0-0 (power boost)


Now that mixes the best of both worlds...that should be know as the Master Dabbler

Master Pistoleer

Commando 0-0-4-0 (scatter pistol and flame)

Smuggler 1-0-4-4 (pistol/spice)

TKA 4-0-0-0 (power boost)



I am guessing you mean bounty hunter there right? Commando's don't get the scatter pistol

I believe he meant Launcher Pistol and Flame for Commando.


I still believe that a Rogue can beat a Expert BH any day of the week (both having Master Pistoleer), but that is what I think.


My template:


Master Pistoleer


Master Smuggler


TKM


Works good for most situations, and 1 on 1 I do not lose unless I fight a Master Rifleman / TKW / 4/0/0/0 Fencer with a JIR of over 500 max damage.


Plus you get the benefits of being a Master Smuggler (Slice your own weapons, make your own Muon, buy faction)....


Thats just my opinion.

I think master is worth it based on speed alone. Either drop BH or Smuggler to hit master. but keep the pistol line in whichever one you like best.


The master specials are worthless, but I think the bonuses are worth it. Hey we could be Droid Engineers. I got that for my first holo and have resigned myself to never being a Jedi. =)

Grenadeer/Master Pistoleer/Rogue You replace TKA with Fire. With this, you are able to torch at 16m. Able to use the Launcher Pistol for some powerful attacks. Good defences and great versus turrets. You also want to know that although the FT does has a pretty high miss rate, its true purpose to is hopefully eliminate PCs from the fight. Effectively, you gain the Crowd Control of Panic Shot, and the LowBlow/Panicshot, which allows the target to be on the floor for 7-11 seconds. A personal choice to finish this off is with Medic, followed by either Meditation 4 from TKA or Exploration 3
