Ok, check out this pistol and tell why we aren't certified with it. Aren't we suppose to be the master of pistols.

Of all the profession to get it, it's Bounty Hunter, like they need more power...

So, if someone in power (DEV) read this, please explain why we didn't get this certification?

Because its a Bounty Hunter Weapon

Not a pistoleer weapon.

If you want it, master 2 profession and spend 40k combat xp.

Dude, I know it's for Bounty Hunter! Did you read my post? Guess not! Why would I spend 40k exp when it's pistol and I'm a pistoleer. If you can't contribute something inteligent to the thread, don't bother!

I have a driver's license, yet I can't drive a squad car. Mechanically its just a crown victoria so I have all the skills necessary. Hell even if I have a CDL which allows me to drive big rigs I can't drive a squad car. Why? Cause Im not a cop. Its a cop's car. I'm not a BH, its a BH weapon.

What he meant was BH's get it because they have to spend a ton of hard to earn combat xp to get there. They also have to spend alot of skill points to get to BH ans they are supposed to be the most powerful class besides Jedi.

If you want the scatter pistol then go BH.

I have much respect for people who can take "real world" examples and apply them to a situation where I would simply shake my head and walk away instead of getting frustrated trying to explain.

Kudos to you, Steenky.

For sure the scatter pistol is for Bounty Hunter only The pistoleer pistol is the DX2...

My point of view is thatthe Pistoleer should be the masterof pistol arms
much more than the Bounty Hunter (the same rule applies also for the
Riffleman and the Carabineer). Concequently,it's the pistoleer who should have
the strongest pistol arm (the DX2 should be more powerful than the
scatter pistol or at least the same power !).

The Bounty Hunter can swich beetween his riffle (mind attack), his
carabine (action attack) and his pistol (heal attack) depending of the
situation. This is already very very powerful. The pistoleer can't.

Trust me its a curse more than blessing. I tried to explain to my woman how I think of her like my Accord. "I see a Vette can think 'thats pretty sweet lookin', but I wouldn't want to own one for the mechanical problems, high maintenance, etc. Its just pretty to look at. Where as my Accord Ive had for 5 years/215k miles and wouldnt sell it for the world." .....Sleeping on the couch the last couple days really hasn't made me realize why thats such a bad analogy. But thats off topic...

Bounty Hunters also took different guns and changed them just a little bit to make them more powerful. Yes the Bounty Hunter doesn't craft his own Scatter Pistol but they are the only ones trained to handle something that isn't normal.

Just thought of something. Why all the focus on the scatter pistol? Isn't the commando launcher pistol a pistol, I thought it gave pistol exp. I haven't heard ANY complaining from this community about that. Why not? Its a pistol and you are a master of all pistols. Pistoleers have 2 knockdowns and a bunch of defense (might not work now but that should change soon). Why all this envy of one class? It "feels" like all the complainers are the BHs 6 year older brother. My brother could beat the piss outta me when he was 14 and I was 7. I didn't ask mother SOE to tie one of his arms behind his back so I could have a chance at beating him, I got OLDER. Are any of these people complaining all the time an actual master pistoleer? From the sounds of your correspondant (who is one) the class does pretty well for itself at that lvl against BHs. Maybe this thread is honestly just about a pistol cert and nothing more, but the whole "BHs are strong enough" statement leads one to believe its just another novice with no idea of what his class can do.

Launcher Pistol isn't worth crap. Mine is 45-198 2.3sliced. I use a 50-211 2.1 sliced FWG5 instead. They are changing the Launcher Pistol to no longer give Pistol XP. Soon it will be giving Heavy Weapon XP instead.

I agree, basically people are calling nerf when they know nothing about their own profession and/or their capabilities.

Okay for some reasons this has turned into yet another PIstoleer VS BH. *sigh* All I was trying to say, is why the BH gets this pistol instead of the pistoleer. Not who is stronger between the two. All I said was the BH has many more options at his disposal.

Forget the whole pistoleer vs BH will ya! It's obvious by all the answers I got that poeple are repeating the same thing over and over and I'll never get the answer I seek. Maybe there is no answer to be sought after too. I don't know.

True I am not yet a Master Pistoleer by title but I am pretty far up the tree to know what I am talking about. The issue I bring in this thread have also been addressed in the post made by Jaegen88about Pistoleers Issues. Pistoleers should have certifications for all pistols. Period. Maybe it will never happen, maybe it was by desingLucas Artdecided we should only have 1 more pistol certification than the common marksman. I was just seeking a valid reason as why that is. Not some, this prof requires more xp, this prof should be stronger, this prof knows how to use unconventional stuff, blah blah... arguments. It seems, though, no one knows!
