Do People who say things like that ONLY PvE against Low Level monsters?


Do me a favor, go fight a krayt or a nightsister with no ap or ap1, then watch the master rifleman do the same with his ap 2 or 3


Give me a fsckin break, AP is what makes us suck half the time... we cannot outdamage people on high level monsters....


And also, don't say oh real life real life, because first off you have heavy pistols in real life, and anyways, in real life do people throw things from behind walls that poisin and disease?


We NEED something with AP2

No, they drop it over your head from 1thousand miles away, be thankful they have to be so close to disease us. This argument could be used for any proffession without Ap2, its called diversity

Everyone with sense that's advocating AP2 is also saying that the max range for the weapon needs to be 30m. That isn't an "ideal range," it's a hard range lock that simply will not shoot at 31m. The ideal range mod on a weapon with an effective usage distance of 30m would be around 15-20m.


This should make Carbineers and Riflemen moan less. Pistoleers are close-quarters fighters, a powerful close-up pistol would be a nice addition to our meager arsenal - the F.O.T.M. PvPers are just trying to moan their way out of us getting something that might give us leverage over them. With venomed poisons, in PvP we'd be dead by the time we closed to 30m against a Rifleman/CM.


Cold damage and AP2 with an MAXIMUM range of 30m. That's NOT too much to ask.

There is pistols boarderlining towards Carbines in the canon sw like the BlasTech T6 Thunderer. We should be alowed atleast ONE ap2 weapon so we can be useful in biggame hunts.

ok, last line was a joke, just surprised no one has actually tried to lobby for that, but ap2 is needed, reguardless of dammage type

Well the only way i think ap2 would be considered is if it could not be dual wielded when dual wield comes out. What is with this cold damage craze?

The reason other professions have AP is because Rifles/Carbine equivalentsfire 3-1/2 inch magnum rounds in real life. You wanna try fitting one of those in a pistol??? That's crazy, the recoil on that would break your wrists (recoil is worse on smaller weapons by the way...less mass= easier to move). I'm a Pistoleer too, workingon Master. So don't think I'm picking on Pistoleers, I'm in the same position as you. But it just doesn't make sense to give any pistol AP2. What's next, AP2 for Teras kasi too?? They have it even worse against big game because they have to stand right in its face to hit it and they have no AP whatsoever! You guys need to understand the different classes have different roles. Maybe if you're a pistoleer you shouldn't go hunt big game alone. We have an advantage over rifleman fighting lots of creatures in close quarters, we can use fanshot or multi target pistol shot, so do the devs have to give riflemen something like that?? The last thing I want is for everyone to be able to do what everyone else can, that's just boring.

First this is coming from an ex-MasterPistoleer (gave it up yesterday). Second, having roles for each professionisa goodconcpet.In a game where the whole point is hunting/killingor PVP then what role do Pistoleers have currently. No one knows, why? Because were borked. I find it funny that of the 2 specials you listed one is worthless, Multitarget shot, and the other we can't use in any dungeon unless we want to die quicker than typing /accecptduel to a Rifleman. We haveno stat change specials besides a MELE k/d, no heavy damage attacks (in fact dps is lower than any ranged profession currently), and lastly9-10 specials are worthless or broken.


Now after looking at what we have currently or dont have depending on your point of view, please tell me what role Pistoleers play besides the batha foddler in PvP or high level dungeons such as Geno Cave or /cringe Corvette. I realize what your saying,but whywould it be borning if suddenly allPistoleers are actually able to compete in damage with other professions using an AP2 pistol.When the whole point of the game is "How fast, how long does it take to kill XXX", I really dont see any reason why Pistoleers can't have an AP2 weapon to at least take a step on the playing field, right nowPistoleers areon the bench.


Or devs can fix our profession and make AP2 weapons not neccesarry.......which do you think is easier to code? Afterall devs seem to take the patch opps path of least resistance.

That's the dumbest idea I've ever heard. ALL MELEE HAVE A MAX RANGE OF 20M!!! If our ideal is 20m then we would constantly be owned by every melee fighter in the game. Pistols would be even more of a joke. We should get some better AP because our damage is already a lot lower than Carbines and Rifles. Why do we get no AP2 and our weapons are weak? Now, that's not fair.

IMO we should not get anAP2 pistol, its part of being a pistolier, Rifles (and to a lesser extent carbines) can penetrate armour, Pistols can't.


Dont get me wrong I went up to the corvette last week and had a good time looking at all the nice droids etc, couldnt actualy hurt anything. There are certain imbalances with the profesions certainly, but giving us a pistol which can punch like a rifle is not a solution.
