I was wondering if anyone would realise just how much they would actual own in PvP if they could wield duel geo pistols. I mean when I had the triple master I could take out most people easily enough with one pistol. I was hitting for insane amounts of damage with an average geo pistol using fan shot and last ditch. Give me two pistols at master along with the bounty hunter pistol line and PvP would be cut down to a matter of seconds. Or fireing two DOT pistols at the same time till both DOTs stick. I know there are more uber weapons out there but you got to admit if you duel up to geo-blasters that are around the 150-300 damage range that's 300-600 damage and there arn't many weapons out there with that kind of stun damage. Last ditch would be insane same with eye shot and fan shot.

which is why (in my opinion) Geo pistols are completely unbalancing the pistoleer profession. If they beef up our profession even a little bit to the point where a master pistoleer without the geo can do well in PVP, those WITH the geo will absolutely own. They've created a rediculous gap between pistoleers who own geos and pistoleers who don't. This can even be seen on this board.


For example: Threads that complain about the class. Geo pistol owners say: No we're fine it doesnt really matter if they fix us or not

Everyone else, the majority of pistoleers by the way, agree that pistoleer sux at pvp right now.


I think the simple solution to the problem would be either

a) Don't let geo pistols be dual wielded (this one makes the most sense)

or b) nerf the geo pistol (hopefully won't happen, those that have them earned them)

good point I'm grinding rifleman atm so not really thinking stright. Duel=Fights Dual=Twin. My bad, Hay I'm an engineer I don't need english

Anyway, I agree with you about geos possibly blurring the line for where we fall in the combat balance, but its not just pistoleer that has these things. They need to stop this crap of needing a rare weapon to compete.

there will be a tradeoff, most likely. decreased accuracy is most likely what'll happen.


and frankly, if we have decreased accuracy, i don't care how good your geonosian pistols are: you won't be hitting that defense stacker anyways.

double wielding most likely will be for eye candy. The only thing I can think it might do is increase our speed if they actually allow us to go under 1 sec.

are we sure that in dual weild we get to pick the two guns that we equip at once? they wont just be a new gun or type of gun that acts as one just shows you with 2?

sorry guys i havent really read much up on the dual weild, just throwing out ideas.

I have to say I'm usually not that "loud" but it's about the 20th thread about "duel pistols", "duel wheild".... someone actually already started a thread on the spelling, so no offence, it was just once too much for me

Why am I assuming that dual wield will alternate shots from one to the other? That would make the most sense to me. You can't really expect to be given such a potentially huge advantage of shooting both at the same time. Or maybe they can offer us a new special that will allow us to shoot them at the same time but incur a long delay. Similar delay to stopping shot and last ditch but I would give it a lesser dmg modifier, the real advantage should be multiple dmg types or multiple dots without switching back and forth (which isn't hard to do anyways)
