Thread: Duel Weapons wont be Geo Pistols

Duel weapons will most likely be specially made guns for the job with a max of 100 damage each, like
those **edit** dual guns in Counter **edit**e.
No way will we be able to use to Geo Pistols lol

or they could really bone us like CH and put gun LvLs on it so when you do get the chance to pull out 2 pistols it will be like a Geo at lvl 70 and cdgf at lvl 5 woohoo

Stun pistols, overall, are not any better in PvP than pistols with other damage types.
Fact of the matter is that you can get armor with 36% stun resist, and add on top of that a 48% stun resist PSG.
If you want to get evil, how about dual Scatter pistols for a Master Pistoleer BH pistol 4 template?
Or dual Republic Blasters (AP1)?
Stun pistols are not the end all be all.

Yea right thats what I am saying it would be our luck that they read this and say ohhhh yea lets give them 2 pistols but make the good ones soooooo high you can only use your one good one and one crappy one at the same time.
Or better yet make them only be able to use 2 cdfg if they want to duel wield.

I really hope they make a concerted effort to seperate combat professions in the CB, so that not only do they each have unique rolls that are as near to equal in worth as could be, but also make it so that each and every profession's ability does not stack with one another. This is the answer to making master worth something and dabbling not the way to be the best combatant in the game (that is, in my opinion anyway 
).

There are alternatives too, as Judas says. Two nice Republics, DX2s, heck, even two of my DL-44s would be nice (it's an underated weapon in my experience)

I dont disagree with you. Personally, I never want to see someone poking a pair of Scatters at me.
However, I would like to say that, though the current skill system has some obvious issues, it is the most elegant skill leveling interface I have yet found in an RPG. The ability to be something other than a Cookie Cutter profession is very appealing to MANY people, myself included.
The opposite is that thereare points in the Skill Tree that create room for imbalance or abuse, and Gamers will ALWAYS find the best combo.

and your pixalated if you think the goe isnt that good. The fact is the goe is the best pvp pistol out now. I have yet to meet anyone PVPer or PVEer or anyone with a full head to toe suit of comp amor with stun layers and a psg . And as it is well known if you are not armored for it its like its not even there so if my goe pistol hits your hands with the no stun protection comp armorgloves on guess what it will do the same damage are if you had nothing on them at all.
Its also well know that most will go with the chest and the helm with stun. and the rest be just normal comp.Most PvPers look at the headbeinghunted by rifleman which at this point arejust as high of a % of PvPers as a fencer is.
So to say that the Goe isnt that good your way off. 85% of the time if you shoot at someone with it your going to rape them caus they are NOT decked in head to toe stun layered comp.

I must be special then. I ALWAYS PvP with afull set of Stun Layered Composite, and a PSG. My full body stun resist is 84% with the 36% stun armor and 48% psg added together.
Maybe that's why i haven't lost a duel in over a week (23 wins in a row and counting). If you are on Ahazi, just wait around in the Coronet Starport. I usually duel there while waiting for the shuttle (stupid investigation missions).

(forgot to mention - The Jawa Ion Rifle in a Master Riflemans hands scares me more than a Geo blaster in a Master Pistoleers hands.)

Because most of them were *educated* in the USA man. We dont require stupid people to learn to think.
Instead, we require people who CAN think to spend all of their time waiting for the morons to stop asking stupid questions.
