Pistoleer Archive
Thread: Anyone with insight or knowledge of future of Pistoleer
Will we be a force to be dealt with? After all Star Wars is supposed to be primarily ranged combat.
I know I am echoing what has been said a lot and in many threads?
Also I think we are going to get the biggest change, us and carbineer actually.
For starters, no one wants to nerf us, no one complains about the all uber pistoleers, and we also dont really complain, we sit here and wait patiently to become uber neo-gods.
Everyone else complains about everyone else, except us, and also they want to make ranged a primary, which means a lot of melee people will get nerfed, or thats how I read it all.
Therefore we will fly under the radar and become awesome
on the flip side since we dont complain they just forget all about us. That would suck, but I dont see that happening and I am a pessimist.

I Think, no matter what our estimed correspondant do,that post-curb we, pistoleer, will still be low on damage. The devs already stated that pistoleer isn't supposed to be a "heavy damage dealing profession", and that statement gives me some worries. Yes. I do agree thata man with a pistol should do less damage than a man with a rifle on this game, or else there won't be any specific profession "feeling", but being always the short stick when it cames do damage dealing needs to be compensated some how.We have been a low damagedealing profession with some decent allaround defensesforthe last 20 months orso, and we all know where and what that leaves us- Our defenses aren't enough to make any diferenceor even compensate our low damage output.
Amd I'm still waiting to see the devs state something like "you are supposed to be..." or "when it comes to combat your profession has the role of...." with a accurate description. I'm not expecting to get any information on the CURB inner mechanics or any data on new skills skills. I Just want to know whatmy role issupposed to be in the combat field. And until this moment, I have got nothing ...

Pistoleers represented in movies and the like are innovators, masters of unconventional -- even dirty -- combative techniques. They're often a mixture of close-range firearms and hand-to-hand combat. Theymove quickly, are hard to hit, and keep their opponents offguard.
I want being a Pistoleer to involve thinking, strategy, not spamming the same special while he spams his and hope that my buffs are better than his.
