Thread: Is there any weapon that is over 1k dmg for a pistoleer?

As title says im pretty new to the profession and was wondering if there is any weapon that is over 1k dmg and if there are what is it and what special components do you need?

with a damage pup on weaposn gettin ga 1k max damage weapon isn't that hard, without a pup you need krayt tissue soem that is I think 175+ and a 12 point smith that has pre -cu compnents and then a de-10 pistol schematic and yellow looted de-10 pistol barrels,that is the only pistol that can go over 1k without a slice/pup

i have a pre-CU Krayt Modified Republic Blaster that came out to over 1k damage after the CU. that's without a PuP. cost me over 3 mil Pre-CU, it was a hammer back then. The 29% damage slice i slapped on it at the time probaly helped the translation to the new system.
i stuck my ADK on it for good measure

I think you'll need considerable luck on the Yellow Barrel... and 180+ at least tissues.

thanks for all your response. i got two gorax pistols around 950max dmg but got 0% slice on one and 5% slice on other

I think a republic blaster could do it. damage cap is what? 962? Plus the elemental damage that can hit 40+

Slicing is broken at the moment, hopefully smugglers will get their new slicing system in the next publish.

As far as I have seen, in post-CU crafting the highest dmg pistols closest or at 1K dmg capable are republic blaster and high cap scatter pistol, unless you have some insane gorax bones or krayt tissues. Highest Scatter pre slice I got was 993 max, 106 SAC though, another at 942 dmg with 96 SAC and a rep blaster at 960 dmg 94 SAC. DL44 XTs and FWG5's seem to be the easiest to get up there other than the Scatter. Sooner or later weaponsmiths with more experience will be able to chug out 1K+ dmg pistols on a regular basis, and scary enough adv laser rifles over 1200+ dmg, 1200+ dmg powerhammers, 900+ dmg stun batons, etc.
My favorite gun is still my old school DE-10, I have been had people wanting to buy my DE-10 because they cannot find one at 900 or higher damage, mine is 453-884 pre-CU converted and that's about the highest I've seen of a DE-10 so far.

I doubt it, as the cap for crafted HC Scatters on Max Damage is 948. It's been tested time and time again, with even +300 tissues. You won't be seeing post-CU guns with those kinds of stats, IMO.

I have a de-10 523-890
pre cu sliced but not PUP'd
