On my server the scatters I've have seen are actually a little worse then the DX2's now. Now that the accuracy has been improved for the DX2's they're the best pistoleer gun that I've seen.

I agree with you that it seems that tangle pistols seem equal or better than the common looted genosians but if you're able to get a crafted genosian they'll outperform any tangle out now.
ANy crafted gun will outbeat a looted gun (usually anyway)
my crafted geo blaster is 2.0 speed 121-224 damage
with stun damage and master pistoleer and master smuggler, thats gonna kick some seroius ARSE
especially with my 80%+ effective comp armor 
You must have only seen the generic looted crap geo pistols.

Ive NEVER seen a tangle with over like 220dmg after slices and powerups.
Yet I own 5 Krayt Geonosian Sonic Blasters - that all do 380-500max dmg once powerup installed. Id post pics but I cant login to Imagedump for some reason :/
I have a 415dmg looted with Poison DoT also
Geonosian Sonic Blasters are the BEST pistol gun for PvP no question, and the only reason Im not furious about the lack of LOVE Pistoleers get Because this one new gun is enough to make my toonfeared finally In PvP I can shoot Eyeshot at the speed cap ripping 300-600STUN dmg per second at your mind (or health if I choose to use BodyShot). Granted Rifleman get an AR1 Jawa, but up till now Pisoleer in PvP = joke.

looted guns are better cause of DoT damage

I have looked at all the pistoleer skills and marksman skills and I have yet to find the cert for the geo pistol. Without a cert, does it not do much less damage. If so, even at 500max damage, it would still suck.
