Thread: What's the best HAM settings to have for Pistoleer?
Hi all
What's the best HAM settings to have for Pistoleer? I've been toying with a few different ones and would like to know what works best for you guys?
Thanx in advance and a Happy New Year to all...yes, even you dirty Rebs...now go get some rest so I can start killing you again in the New Year!!! lol ![]()
Play hard & dirty...
um ..i dont know about wht other people do ...but this is what i do ...
everytime i buy a new armor ...i have it sliced ..then see if i can wear it ...then migrate so i can wear it unbuffed since ...most times my buffs wear out in the middle of something it shouldn't (murphy's law)
then i take whats left of points and put into action health and mind ...i always try to have a high mind set to regenerate mind as fast as i can ....
don't think its a certain set of rules on how to set up your ham but more of a personal preference along with what kind of armor and gun you are using...
My settings are, 700, 400, 400, 700, 400, 400, 1050, 650, 650. (human). If you intend to be any usefull, you need master doctor buffs. These can be gotten at any major Starport for 5-8k, and the buffs last 2-3 hours. Not doing this, is simply stupidity. As for Mind stats, those are a pain to get buffed (takes 16min to be fully buffed in all stats, and you need Dancer + Musician), so I've focused on my mind stats.
If i I need to solo or tank something really hard (I tend to solo rancor missions on Dathomir for xp), I use muon gold for a 10min buff to mind pool. One mission usually takes about 10min, so the buff is perfect.
If you have stats that are barely enough to equip your armor, you're going to be chanceless in pvp. Your HAM costs will be insane, and your regeneration totally worthless.
If you can't wear armor with that, you got some pretty serious issues.
However if you dont wear armor i usally try to make my ham 700 and have the rest in my sub stats just remeber about every pistol ive seen has a action ham caost that double the health and mind cost, therefore; it seems logical to give str and focus half of whatever your quickness is. Before i got medic skills and wore armor i prefered to have 1100 in my quickness and 550 in my str and foucus.
Oh yeah it also depends on what species your charater is. im a human
If you intend to be any usefull, you need master doctor buffs.
Are you speaking to the previous poster or making a blanket statement? If a blanket statement, what a ridiculous statement it is. If your character isn't useful without master doctor buffs, your character is a gimp.
read what i said again ...are you always buffed ...?? your buff doens't run out does it ...?? moron ...
very often my buff run out in the middle of nowhere .....and i want to be able to wear it ...and with the stats you are using i can't because i would be toast ....with your stats i would barely be able to wear it ..so i need to migrate ....if you are lucky to get the same slice on your armor ever time you are quite lucky ..if your buff never run out ...you are lucky or well timed ...whats the **edit**ing purpose of watching the **edit** time all the time ....what im sayng is that there are no way to tell that your stats are the best for everyone ...buffs will run out ..thats the fact ..moron .....try and behave i a respectful and honorable manner
now ...why don't you go and play on the freeway ..blindfolded in the rush hour

Tell me please, how would you as an unbuffed pistoleer (1000ish Health, Action, Mind pools at best) beat a fully buffed pistoleer (3000ish Health and Action, and 1600ish Mind pools).
Now, give me a convincing answer to that, and I will accept that I'm a gimp.
